This was what I did:

1.) Put your Yammy to 2 channel stereo with the sub activated in the morning. sub volume should be below 9 o clock
2.) play a music CD with lots of LFE, use the repeat button
3.) turn off your front speakers, using the speaker A or B button
4.) Go to work
5.) Turn it off when you come back from work
6.) Repeat steps 1-5 for a week. make the volume a little louder on the last few days

CHTr series was harder to break in compared to CHT series.

Di pa tapos DIYs and have no time yet to permanently set-up :-\ ;D. Gusto ko na nga magleave muna for several days para matapos.  Will do once finished, nothing special unlike the others. Incomplete supplies sa probinsya eh. Darn, can't even find BOC(blackout cloth here)!!!

Bro, somebody suggested to try plywood painted w/ flatwall enamel. I think it's a good idea. Someday if time permits, i'll try this one but instead i'll mix a little black tinting color to the flat wall to make it a little greyish. I read somewhere na maganda raw lumalabas ang video quality pag medyo grey o silver ang screen.

There are many options on DIY paints, as suggested in the AVS forums. I have read extensively but the choices will confuse you.  Yup, I read that the grey hue will somewhat improve contrast in moderately lighted environments.

Peek of relocated set-up........

Unloaded the MS 3.5 for audio and bought the wharf D9.1/9CS combo for my Yammy730 since I freed up a small dedicated room. The D9.1 are sitting on Sabre speaker stands(used for surrounds) but the price of around 1.5K egged me to buy it na for the diamonds.

Addition of the BenQ W100 for my primary display...

DIY 80" Diag Screen with a test fabric, but failed the test run and will replace with a pre-ordered blackout cloth in Shell Canvas ATC..

Flesh tones with the BenQ

Next upgrade would be an upconverting dvd player and a UPS for the PJ ;D

Finally finished the DIY Screen using blackout fabric.  80" Diag(70" width X 40" height). I decided against the DIY ceiling mount for security reasons ;D and found one at Spectra(flush+extended) universal mount.  This PJ for begginners like me is bang for the buck, considering its performance.  Problem lang is the absence of a lens shift that limits placement.

Below are some pics....

3 point adoptor for the ceiling mount installed.

Underview... ;D

DIY Screen construction....

Finsihed

I have to buy this ups to protect the pj from brownouts.  I was hit by a power interruption last week that made me decide to get the ups to allow the pj to complete the cool down during power outages.

That's about it.  I wish I have a bigger room ;D ;D. This simple setup suits me for now.....for now..he-he.

Thanks for viewing.

Coco

Wow, nice upgrade bro. Congrats. :)

Simple upgrades pa rin bro, he-he, budget upgrades pala. The last time nakapanood ako ng full movie sa sinehan is when Superman Returns was featured.  Ngayon, feeling ko araw araw, me mini sinehan ako kahit di hi end ang gears. I especially love how the velo is performing in a small dedicated room, vibrating seats talaga. ;D ;D

Updated my set-up with a Pio 696AV-S player.  No cable yet.  Finally decided on this player.  Two birds in one stone, audio as well as upconversion upgrade.  NOthing fancy ano, ;D
