What audio gear do you regret selling or parting with?
« on: Jan 17, 2006 at 04:42 PM »
I used to have an ONKYO power amp which was about 150wpc or 180wpc. I bought it from one of our friends here at a really friendly price. I used to pair that with my AMX pre amp and it was great using it as my second unit. Funny thing was, the same fella bought it from me cause he missed it. Realize now it is not that easy to find a stereo power amp running 180wpc for just 4,500.

That, and a pair of mint condition, spotless dm601 b&w speakers. I found myself calling the buyer later asking if he wanted to dispose. Of course he thought it funny but it was nice to know he had in fact enjoyed listening to it with his friend that he got him into audio as well.

regret parting with the nad c320 i bought pre-owned. will use it for experimental purposes sana. also don't know how some of the experiments i am fiddling around with will sound on a fairly decent amp like the nad c320.

wow, i probably would have had a hard time parting with kt-88 monoblocs.

makes me wonder what you replaced them with. i hope i never have to run across one though. i absolutely have no space left after my jolida. unless i can keep a tube amp in a tv rack. one that is only open from the front.

Incidentally, would that work if i put a fan in front of it, and my aircon is kept open anyway?

Hi sir,

Yes there is a c320 (40w/ch) na walang bee appended (that Mr. E also designed, impedance sensing circuitry, soft clipping, etc). It was budget amplifier of the year din by what hifi not sure about the year (1998?). It was replaced by c320bee (50w/ch) between 2000 and 2002. Nad sales of both models overlapped for a year (paubos stock?).

3020 was their 1978 model. Im not saying c320 is better than c320bee,  just that its a good amp din.

Great gears you have (and had) sir. :)

Mark
