Gerry de Leon's films, almost all are lost. Manuel Conde's films, almost all are lost. Premier lost their best works, no thanks to a labor revolt. And what about those produced by Lea Productions and other independent outfits?
The sad thing is that very few peeps are into archiving and most of today's generation don't give a crap 'bout tagalog movies, particularly our classics. And those who do--Teddy Co, Kuya Cesar, Doy del Mundo, Jo Atienza (but she's in the States now)--aren't getting any younger.
Sigh.
