it was already confirmed na may season 9 even before season 8 started, I think. Sabi nila season 9 will show the mother but it will delay her meeting with Ted daw. Pero damn, kamukha talaga siya ni Lily. :D

I saw it last night, and the episodes were OK. I REALLY like the casting of Milioti as the Mother, though. I thought the producers would go for a more familiar or famous name, or bring back one of the ladies that Ted had dated before, but first seeing Milioti's face on the train station during last season's finale was a VERY pleasant surprise. (Loved her on Once: The Musical, and I can see a song and dance number with her in an upcoming episode)

Also, really liked the chemistry between her and Lily, and Ted, based on the eps last night.

That part where they were saying that that moment might be the last time that they're hanging out together as  a group was really sad. Kinda how Friends was in the last few episodes of the final season.

Sagwa, one of the worst ending I ever watched. And that is saying a lot! I watched Dexter & Burn Notice. Parehas crappy ending, pero eto, kakaibang crappy to. The last episode, yung may mga fast forwards na, it's like a car crash in slow motion.

Remember... Ted was never "the one" nung mother. Ang "the one" nung mother was Max. If the mother was still able to fall in love again with Ted after losing Max, then that should mean Ted can be able to love again after losing the mother.

Point is, it was robin all along. The whole story is about Robin all along. Kasuya na, it's not even a healthy relationship kapag sila. Ilang beses na bang naging sila? 2 times? Tapos pang huli ngayon? Just when I thought that Ted was no longer that hopeless guy who always fall to Robin despite Robin loving her job more, there he is again. The writers managed to bring back the old ted.

What happened to "I am not that guy anymore"?

Robin only wants Ted when she can't get Ted. It's an established fact that was pointed out a couple of seasons back.

Plus what the ever happened to Robin and Barney? A whole season of hyping the wedding and then 3 years later divorced na agad.

So yes, it is a fair assumption.
