just wondering guys.....newbie ako sa fp display...just auditioned ae700 and i was amazed at the pq. though i dont know to judge dahil baguhan pa......though told me lamp life is a major weakness for these displays. ano kaya sa ae900?

Let me repeat some of the info I shared with you here for other member's benefits:
1.) Called the local Panny dealer and they estimate that AE900 would be here by November
2.) From past years' trends, new release models are about P110k or above.
3.) Prices will slowly drop after about 6 months
4.) Panny AE700 has dropped down to a tempting P85k
5.) Other countries have the AE900 already and they are raving about it.
6.) New features: universal learning remote, 5,500 contrast ratio, 1,100 lumens, self adjusting Iris lens

By the time you finish your renovation, you might get the AE 900 for P95k

Yes, but I wait for the price to go down. Im eyeing either Panny AE900 and Sanyo Z4. Im currently using Sanyo Z1 Im still satisfied with it so I can wait.

If there is only a 5 to 10% improvement in picture quality of projectors costing 3 to 5 times the cost of the pt ae900, I think I will get the panny for my next purchase.

By January the price will be lower, thats for sure. And if your construction gets delayed, which happens most of the time (kami 2 months delayed), the price will be even lower.

Saw it awhile ago at Sights & Sounds. Ang Lufet! kahit bulok na component cables & non progressive scan dvd player pa lang ginagamit!

Grrr, too bad, I am so busy these days to have my fun with it!

I also got mine. tho' i got tired of running up & down the escalators of shang. just to haggle for the price i want fr. the 2 stores there, its worth it! almost saved 27% off the orig. price of the first AE900 batches last month!

I installed mine already, the AE900 rocks!!!

But I am having difficulty rolling up the Viewtech screen. OR maybe I dont do it correctly. I will practice rolling it up some more.

nakita ko yesterday at B&W ( sights and sounds) and sa listinening in style....Maganda nga!!! Big improvement over my 3yr old Sanyo Sw-20.. Kung suwertehin I will get one this week.....
