Naku Alvin dapat nga kami magpasalamat sayo e  :)
As Angelo said reference audio/video system. Great setup tulo laway ko just seeing all your equiptment.

The sound is truly wonderful. dont know how to make a review basta ang alam ko maganda sa tenga ko. Siguro ito yung tinatawag na synergy of equiptment, room and placements. Yung Bass...WOW
napaisip tuloy ako if Ill just DIY my own sub   ;D

The Panamorph what can I say ... umo-order na ko  ;D no more black bars, no pincushion, no degradation of picture.

The company: Mark, Angelo, Marvin, Paul and Alvin nice meeting you guys very informative dapat pala laging may mini eb   dami tsismis  ;D

Thanks for being a great host, Alvin! :)

What more can I say? The Anthem D2 seems to have made a huge difference in improving sound quality, and as you said, meron pa darating na room-correction technology! In the "Legends of Jazz" BD, I heard sounds that I didn't hear before. So many more details! :)

Its the first time I saw a Panamorph lens in action. Huge improvement in pq for 2.35 material! Such a smooth picture! Naku .. pangarap ko tuloy ito..  ;D

It was also my first time to see four subs in action in just one system. Really impressive.

Dami namin nakuhang ideas, lalo na ang DIY screen and subs! Ang galing talaga.

It took a long time to arrange this EB but it was a great result! Sarap pa ng chicharon at pastilyas ni Jay. And of course, the wine ...  ;D

Marvin - Thanks for the dinner! We really appreciated it!

Till the next time or times ...  :)

My sincere appreciation to Alvin for hosting this wonderful EB & showing us his great hi-end reference home theater and audio set-up...I'm speechless...in fact, I must admit it's a "jaw dropping" experience!

Thanks to Mark too for arranging this special EB. It's glad to be able to meet our PinoyDVD members: Mark, Alvin, Marvin, Angelo & Jay.  :D I had a great time enjoying the fellowship & learning new stuff about our beloved & expensive hobby. ;D

After seeing Alvin & Mark's HT setup, guess I will have many sleepless nights now suffering the "Paradise HT dreams".

Hey congrats Alvin for a successful hosting!  ;)  Just gathered from Esi it was a superb experience - he was really raving about your 'reference' gear.  Sayang di ako naka-sama.  Looking forward to seeing it one of these days if another tripping is arranged.  More power bud!  ;)

Alvin,

This is just an initial post. I still got to get over this HANG-OVER about your place. MY GOD I got my true reference with Home Theater Acoustics and Equipment. This is ONE set-up which really gives me goosebumps esp. on the AUDIO side. Jay would agree with me on this. Your Panamorph Lens is to DIE FOR! Argghhh. Im at lost with words at the moment.....To be continued.

Its was very pleasant to met all of you. Thanks for being a very WARM Host.

Marvin,

It was a great having dinner with you and sir Mark! It was truly delicious!

Mark,

May I thank you again for the ride. Very smooth Car! Whew. Till next post.

Angelo,

Thank you for the kind words. Really had a BALL, you guys coming over 100kms away. I try to be practical, HIgh End but Frugal High End. My Equipments are considered the best bang for the buck in some audio circles. As you can see, kapag kaya, I go for the DIY route which makes this hobby more interesting.

Sorry I could not be with you guys at dinner time. I'm sure it was delicious.

Mark's car, what can I say, just gorgeous.

Alvin

No comparison. Each one has a lot to contribute from his own experience kaya everyone learns (but most especially from Alvin!). And no one has a vested interest to sell some stuff.  :)

And then the glorious HT of Alvin! :)

But finally, dami pa wine and chicharon from Nueva Ecija.  ;D ;D

Congrats Koy!!   I like the aesthetic change.   Melinis ya Koy, mewala nala power amps ken harap, and the top to bottom equipment rack really looks astonishing.   From the looks of it, mekitid ya, and the room was extended? to accomodate the equipment and software room?

Again, the guys are surely rarin to hear and see the new set-up, from the new projector, new lens, up to the new room correction kit.   Hope to see you soon Koy.   Congrats again.  ;)

Thanks Marv.

I made a small opening at the left rear section as a passthru to a newly built mini room. It made the room bigger,as the frontstage is not cluttered with the my 3 amps anymore.

The New UH480 made a very big jump in PQ as CA and geometric distortions were reduced to bare minimum. I was happy with the UH380 and was worried (at first) what I could expect from the new lens. I was not disappointed.

ARC1 was another major improvement with the system. I know I have a very good system before, but with the correction made by ARC, it has taken the system several notches up! ;D The results of the measurements were at par with test instruments costing in the kilobucks ($) range.

Ahh, the projector, what can I say, this PJ is really great considering its price. It is very close to the quality of the JVCrs2 and its has a feature that the JVC does not have. I can dial in RGBCMY controls so that the color gamut will match the HDTV Rec709 color standard. No more oversaturated colors (but I like a little saturation with animation) if I desire so. I just change the memory settings to the adjustments that I made and presto, I can make the changes I want instantly. The PJ has 10 memories!

As for the acoustics, most of them are covered by the fabric, but there were changes made to further improve the sound.

Alvin, pinag-usapan na nga ang ARC sa Audyssey thread. I've read a review that was raving about it. It seems to be quite different from Audyssey. I'm really curious to see it in action.

Parang lumuwag nga ang kwarto. May space na for 12 Pinoydvd freaks.  ;D ;D

To my eyes meron, better contrast, less chromatic abberation and less geometric distortion.

Looking forward to seeing you and all those that have committed to come.

5 seater lang ako, pero mayroon plastic chairs available :D.

ARC is really a great enhancement to my system. Mids are super clean, bass has no trace of boominess and the highs seem to sound heavenly (marami na yatang superlatives ah?). You have to hear it, mahirap mag describe lang dito. Of course, the better your room and speakers to start with, the better the results. ARC cannot make miracles out of run of the mill systems and bad room acoustics but everything will sound better with it.

Its the same room, with less clutter. Feels bigger though.

question sir, pano mo nagagamit ang UH480 if the 1080ub doesn't support vertical stretching? the D2 does it ba?

I really don't believe it can go as far as 50k to 1 CR but its better than the Panny AE2000 (Sorry Marvin). Maybe 20k to 1 at best. ;D

Yes, the D2 does the vertical stretch, it would be a redundant feature if it were also featured in the 1080UB  ;D
