Rush Hour.

One reason I sometimes like buying from Astroplus is they get these advance releases. I think this is slated for Dec. 7 pa. I saw Seven also, Oh so tempted but I may go for the digibook

I'm interested in Seven. Is the Astro copy an Alliance/Universal release or New Line?

The Alliance version is BD25, 1080i, 1.78 ratio, and barebones (doesn't even have subtitles).

New Line is the good version, 1080p, BD50, 2.35, with subtitles and some special features.

Hi sir, I'm not very sure but I think it is the good version na, bec. I saw some special features listed in the back. I saw it in Astroplus MOA. I'm sure the other branches have it too. Double check mo nalang. Pq and aq is suppose to be real awesome for this movie. It's 1,550 pesos ata. Bought my Rush hour copy at the same price, kinda expensive but ok na, advance copy and I really like that movie

Btw I almost bought the alliance copy in Cardinal audio long time ago

. Man, its a good thing I didn't. I also checked the reviews first before buying. I already held it in my hand several times whew

..what a relief.

OK na nga siguro ng Philippine release ng Se7en. I avoid Digibook packagings, so I don't want the US version.

Good thing you didn't get Se7en's Alliance version, pang-jejemon talaga yon

Another title I really like is The Others, but Alliance is the only BD release so far.

Just finished watching my Newline edition of SE7EN. The dts HDMA 7.1 is OUTSTANDING, so creepy and atmospheric. The Digibook is awesome, I do not understand the hatred felt for Digibooks. A perfect package, well, almost. If only the supplements were in HD.

Skeleton Key

Typically bad Universal Studios release. Obvious DNR. Picture is too smooth. Faces look like wax masks.

Black levels are good and details are OK, but fine detail is lost.

Carlito's Way

Good picture quality. Unusual for a Universal Studios release.
