Fox Home Entertainment has announced Independence Day: 10th Anniversary Edition which stars Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman. The single-disc release will be available to own from the 27th June, and should set you back around $19.98. The film itself will be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. The only extra material will be the option to choose between the theatrical or special editions of the film, a scene specific commentary with director Rolan Emerich and producer Dean Devlin, and an additional commentary by Oscar winning FX supervisors Volker Engel and Doug Smith.

i think the definitive edition came out in 2000, the five star collection? otherwise why should you shell out more bucks for something that offers much of the same.

actually, the definitive edition came out in japan. but you're right. no need to double dip on this one if you have the US or Japan release.

try looking for the 5-Star Collection edition...yun nga lang, OOP na ata.

I think the 2-disc Digipack is still available. Repackaged version of the 5Star...

or get the Japan ultimate edition. With dts tracks. The best PQ and SQ available. And the best packaging in digipak
