help naman mga sony bravia user am plan to buy a sony bravia I see the s series,v series,w series na full hd  all them are 32 inches. which is yun ang prefer ko yung s series at v series na 32 inches accept 1080p di ba which bang for my bucks, but i saw the w series full hd really caught my eye at parang gusto yun na lang bilhin, pero sa akin konti lang naman ang difference s at v series sa w series. I am confused what model of 32 inches i should buy  s and v series which this december nakabili na ako or ipon pa ako para makabili ng w series next week siguro february or march. In fact sabi sa akin be ptience sa bumaba naman ang price ng lcd t.v. ask ko lang advise nyo kung I should buy s series or v series,or wait for next year to buy sony  w series 32 inches next week . mostly used for ps3 gaming and watching movies and nime.

i reco 40s400... pinaka mababa presyo among full hd ng sony

this is a nice tv. same as the 32s400a except for the sizeand wallmount.

you can audition the 32" in the stores so may judge the quality. by order kasi ata ang 26".

Just bought a Sony Bravia 32S400. What kind/type of cable connector do I use for over-the-air or cable TV viewing? The input connector at the back panel seems different from the f-connector type. Thanks so much.

meron adaptor na kasama yan, andun sa plastic ng manual niya.

32s400 is a good TV for all rounder: gaming, TV and regular dvd or blu-ray movie viewing. It also accepts 1080p.

However by August next year, this TV will surely be replaced by a new model. Therefore, instead of focusing on 32s400, you may wish to look for a new succeeding model. By that time, the newcomer might even look prettier and loaded with better features.

if you're planning on buying a 32in LCD, i don't think it would matter kun kaya nya mag 1080p.
I read from somewhere, and have seen narin that 1080p is best experienced atleast on a 40in lcd.

for playing PS3 games, setting the resolution to 1080i (since HDready lang yun nakitaan ko) makes the texts smaller and harder to read.
720p (on 32in) is very decent already for viewing (in general).

if you have the money naman, and would really want to experience full HD, buy atleast 40in..
but if yung room is the main factor for buying 32in, any brand or model may do. don't be concerned too much on the slight differences of the models (ex. s400 and v400).  <-- i see that the main diff here is the availability of the digital media in the v series which is proprietary to Sony products.... which is still very few (like wireless, ipod dock, etc).  if you foresee that you'll be requiring this in the future, then why not shell out an extra 10k++ for it.  :)

when comparing same brands, don't be fooled too much on the difference of their colors.  compare the specs primarily instead (check the technology used, and the differences).  when viewing them sa showrooms side-by-side, it may appear surely that the other one is better, but if you'll really going to check, i would bet that they were just not calibrated the same (there's a thread here that discusses how to calibrate colors the right way).
but ofcourse, you have to compare them fairly... 40in-to-40in / hd ready-to-hd ready (or fullhd-to-fullhd).

and also, an lcd tv experience is best coupled with a good or well invested home theater system.  if a big part will only be used for tv (or cable) viewing, wag nalang lcd.. mahal lang. baka magtaka ka pa kung bakt mas maganda yun viewing experience dun sa old tv mo. :)
if you have the budget to buy an lcd tv, weigh your options carefully and think ahead. full hd tv's as i said is best experienced with a very good home theater system.  the dvd home theater systems packaged with the tv's in the stores are just for playing DVD's.  For you to see 1080p in your lcd, you should have a Blu-ray player or a ps3 at the least. syempre... to experience good audio, you should also have speakers (amps are optional) to get a feel of the truehd sound or dts-hd.

hehe.. :) enjoy your hunt for the best lcd.

Okay thanks. Was just wondering because of how cheap it is compared to other Sonys. I think this is just about the same price as the 40a450 of Samsung which is not fullhd. And I think about 10k cheaper than the 40a550 (the fullhd of Samsung). Imagine, a Sony cheaper than a Samsung! ;D

@XanderCage ,

Wow, at that viewing distance, you definitely need FullHD, otherwise you would see artifacts and pixelation. :D
Furthermore, at that viewing distance, i cannot imagine what benefit can somebody get from a 40in which you cannot achieve with a 22inch WUXGA LCD (sub 17K pesos)  ???

Hi,

I purchased my Sony KLV-32V300a 2nd quarter last year, so far it worked as expected and now I'm thinking of purchasing an extended warranty. I like to ask if anyone here tried purchasing an extended warranty for their LCD tv, I read somewhere here someone purchased right after the replacement of his LCD tv due to defect but like to know if its still possible to purchase extended warranty at this time.

Thanks

speaking of benefit of a 40" compared to a 22"? its quite obvious.

Now that you mentioned about you sofa, that changes a lot of things.
Minimum sitting distance daw for 40" with 1080p material is 5 ft. So if your sofa is closer than that, a 32" would suffice. What do you think?  ???

I got a 40S400 a couple of weeks ago.  Using a PS3 for blu-ray movies.  Is there a way for the HDMI-control function to work with the PS3?  I just tried to go thru the menu and hindi ma-detect yung PS3 as a device for the HDMI-control.  No problems viewing ang playing games though.  Salamat!

nice setup!  you gave me an idea what to do with my 32in S-series if i decide to upgrade to a larger LCD hehehe...

anyway,  i just realized these technologies were just stuff of sci-fi movies years ago, but are now reality.  I still have my win95 pentium at home hehehe....great to be living in these times...

Did'nt realize that my HTIB DZ270K could be region 3 locked as well. have to check it soon.

Anyway, does anybody know where does Sony source their panels lately? like the 46" above sizes? Heard that they are made in Taiwan...or from Samsung.

im pretty sure you can unlock your htib's/dvd players that are region locked, you just have to be patient, search the net, its bound to be there somewhere, i did the same for the free dvd player on our landlords apartment in singapore, and it worked like hell, the people that stayed with me were so happy with what i did that they started using it as well (they didnt really use it when i wasnt around because its region locked)

from my experience I was able to unlock around 3 dvd's/htib's just by searching for the right remote control key press combination over the net =)

i still have a bravia 32s310, too bad i bought it a month before they released the 32s400, hehehe, impuslive buy kase e, i never knew the 40s400 was native 1080p na, maybe that should be my project this christmas, to get something thats 1080p native, =)

I had my DAV-DZ150K dvd player that came with my Sony Bravia unlocked (weird thing it was locked to region 2) last year but through Sony Service center.

I tried looking for the codes on the internet but found none, so I called them and took the player and after a week brought it back unlocked. I just don't know why it took them a week to do that.
