A friend is looking for the best match tower speakers (as tall as wharf 8.4) for his Parasound Halo Preamp/5.1 ch amp.Audio/Video application is 50/50.  The budget is $2,500 to 3,000 for the complete 5.1 set-up.  Your recommendations will be very much appreciated..thanks...

Aside from your recommendation, if the choices is limited to the following brands (Definitive Technology, Energy, Paradigm, Monitor Audio,  Dynaudio & Wharfedale), what will you recommend? Thanks again...

Hmm, funny, I was just reading the specs of this Parasound preamp and 5.1 amp last night in a magazine. This is the 250wpc 5.1 amp right?

Go for Dynaudio! Since you have the power anyway, go for the power hungry dynes, They sound great with lots of power.

Definitive Technology BP series will breath freely through that amp, give them ample space and youll hear magic...

Music Transporter (you'll be transported to the actual recordings)...

PS: effective, only if you close your eyes while listening...
