Pasali dito. First time Onkyo owner here. Just bought hotchefnik's reconditioned Onkyo 646 (thanks Nick!). Matagal tagal ko pa ma set up to since I need to buy new set of speakers, banana plugs, wiring, etc. Ok na muna ako titigan to, lol.

On a tight budget anything more papaluin na ako sa pwet ng asawa ko. So I am eyeing the 5-speaker system Pure Acoustics Super Nova 8 and a Polk Audio's PSW110 sub. Tapos mag mamakaawa ako sa asawa ko kung pwede pa nya dagdagan allowance ko to accomodate a pair of atmos ceiling speakers :-).

Guys ano ba solution dun sa nag bli blink yung screen? Rz800 user here.. ang ginagawa ko lang is switch ko lang yung mode like movie to game, then switch to movie uli.. baka may other solution.

try mo change hdmi cable sir, ganyan noon sa Onkyo 508 ko eh.

Also looking at onkyo atmos speakers. Reasonably priced at 8800 php. Check ko nga supernova.

sir, why don't you also buy @hotchefnick's 5.0 speaket set?  Klipsch is also good, right?  Rather than super nova?  Then buy a floorstanding or good bookshelf for your fronts.  that way, you'd have better stereo speakers when listening to music.

Or I maybe wrong...

sir, why don't you also buy @hotchefnick's 5.0 speaket set?  Klipsch is also good, right?  Rather than super nova?  Then buy a floorstanding or good bookshelf for your fronts.  that way, you'd have better stereo speakers when listening to music.

I've bought a new one too lately. very cheap from SM Appliance, v2.0 daw and costs around P400.. working good!  I have Monster Cable v1.4a, okay din.  both cables are working from TV to AVR with the ARC enabled.

pardon sir, I didn't mean to downplay the Nova.. that's why my statement is in "?" mark...  I also want to mean is that available yung Klipsch set for you to audition as well.  at least kilala mo na yung seller.  you may get a better deal =))

as for the Nova, I just saw it at Lazada in the past and haven't heard it play yet.

bros i have 515,  yung pass thru/standby mode minsan gumagana minsan hindi. pag hindi gumagana you need to turn on the avr & select the souce. hdmi kaya problem? source >hdmi>515(main out/arc)hdmi> led tv. tia

lately kakalaro ko settings sa Onkyo 656 ko na diskubre ko na meron pa palang adjust nung audio nya dun sa audio source selection pala pwede ka magdagdag ng gain dun..dati kasi hinang hina ako sa sound kailangan pa 55+ ang volume bago ko marinig gusto ko tunog..now after adjusting the Source IntelliVolume viola 30 palang ang volume busog na busog na sa power ang speakers ko.

Nice yong intellivolume di na biglang lakas pag nalipat ko accidentally tv as source via optical. Sobrang lakas ng tv as source ng skycable.

oo nga sana eh, kaya lang walang pagbandahan ng tunog sa apartment di ko rin naman pwedeng pabutasan kisame.
