Can internet cables and a wifi apparatus affect speakers and speaker wires when there placed near each other?

Sir, just my humble opinion. Go for higher model like the 806 para hindi ka susceptible in case A H1N1 virus attacks. Ikaw din mapapamahal ka. ;)

but isn't it that the difference between this and the 607 eh mga 4k lang? i guess that additional outlay is worth it.

you have a point ....

pero power consumption ... Onkyo 507 = 390Watts. Onkyo 607 = 540Watts ;D laki nun ah ..... and I dont turn the volume up so much naman .....

Pang BD video nalang yung 4K hahaha!

as master matzter likes to say... get the biggest power you can afford.   :D

if the 4k difference is something you can stretch into, then go for it. even if the 507 may be 390W and the 607 540W (both max of course), if you like to listen at say a measured SPL of e.g. 50-60dB, then power consumption may be almost identical. what you get though is headroom for those really loud passages. as a rule of thumb also, a higher powered amp tends to be more musical than its lower spec'd sibling.

as a comparison, my h/k avr-5550 consumes 120W on idle (not standby. just powered on with no sound) and 1040W max.  :o   when on idle, para akong me nakabukas na bumbilya and when delivering loads of sound, para akong nagpa-plantsa.  ::)  :D

Hi guys,
newbie here.
Just got a pre-owned Onkyo 7.1 receiver that can decode the following:
DTS, DTS 96/24™, DTS-ES® Discrete/Matrix, DTS Neo:6®
Dolby® Digital, Dolby® Digital EX, Dolby® Pro Logic® IIx
i will pair it to my bd player (samsung 1500).
since it can't decode true hd, dts-hd, how can i maximize it?
when im watching bd's?
tia.

Set your BD player to internally decode HD audio and send signal as LPCM to the onkyo

Onkyo SR607/SR606 upconversion to 720P/1080i
« Reply #1165 on: Aug 03, 2009 at 03:02 PM »
Has anyone tried using the upconversion capabilities of this AVR? When you plugged in component cables for PS2/XBOX or dvd players and upconverting it to 720p/1080i? How is the image quality? Did it get better than using the component cables directly connected to a fullhd lcd? Thanks

Mag-upgrade na dyan yung mga nangangati. ;D

Onkyo unleashes TX-NR807 and TX-SR707 A/V receivers sporting Dolby ProLogic IIz and Audyssey DSX

Notice the "NR" designation for the 807. ;)

I'm quite new in this area, I've been reading about entry level receivers, and I stumbled on this onkyo tx-sr 307...has anyone here made any reviews about it...will this be a good purchase in case I decide to get one like it?
