I'm quite new in this area, I've been reading about entry level receivers, and I stumbled on this onkyo tx-sr 307...has anyone here made any reviews about it...will this be a good purchase in case I decide to get one like it?

The TX-SR307 would be alright as long as you only need basic features. If you don't know if you're going to delve deep into HT yet, then this is fine. Kumbaga parang evaluation phase...

I think you can ask the local stores (SnS, TW, etc) for updated prices but I think it'll still be cheaper if you're willing to import from the US via anya618 or TOY 01. Yun nga lang walang warranty.

I don't think that's available locally since it's a fairly new model. You'd probably still be finding the TX-SR806.

Btw it's called the TX-NR807. NR because of some network-capable features.

TX sr876 on sale here in saudi at P65,000. okay sana pag may kilala ka from here.
I bought mine last year with jamo C60 series and very good performance for both movies and music.  I dont know how much price dyan sa pinas.

Go for sr876.....you wont regret it bro.

Bought my NOS TX-SR805 from aDawliah. Naka-sale nga mga 806 and 876, pero I still prefer the 805...kahit palabas na yung 807..he he he.

When I auditioned my 805 the other day...we use Jamos floor standers..did'nt liked it..too boomy for me..

Mas prefer ko pa yung MA RS1 ko..

If i remember it right meron din high-end shop sa Shoala at Al-Akharia...mga dating tambayan ko between yr. 1998-2005. Sori sir kung OT.

Nope. have no idea sa price sa pinas.

Tyempuhan lang dito sa dubai. when I bought my speakers last year it was on sale for almost 70% discount. Its a tannoy eyris DC3 and DCC. I bought them from Thomsun electronics sa Wafi city here in dubai.

as master matzter likes to say... get the biggest power you can afford.   

if the 4k difference is something you can stretch into, then go for it. even if the 507 may be 390W and the 607 540W (both max of course), if you like to listen at say a measured SPL of e.g. 50-60dB, then power consumption may be almost identical. what you get though is headroom for those really loud passages. as a rule of thumb also, a higher powered amp tends to be more musical than its lower spec'd sibling.

bro, curious lang ako what input (analog/digital input) ang nakalagay sa display ng onkyo when multichannel is displayed? also, in your hdmi setting sa bd60, anong resolution ang gamit mo?

btw, on a few cases, i get this as well between my onkyo and oppo. sometimes i had to reset my onkyo then it displays the correct format. try mo din unahin i-on ang bd60 then yung onkyo and see what happens.
