Which AV stores in Manila have the widest range of onkyo receivers available for viewing and possibly demo? Sa Toyama sa Timog po ba may showroom at pwede ma audi mga onkyo brands?

Toyama is the main distributor of Onkyo. I think they have a showroom in Timog QC that you can go to so you can see their offerings

AVShop (MLY Enterprises) is also in QC.

In manila (city of manila), there's one - AVX in Harrison Plaza (beside McDo / Max's)

Have a problem with my TXNR609.  No Audio and Video on HDMI pass through output but the front panel has display.  After I used a watt meter to check consumption of the AVR on standby it was still ok then when I used it a day after it did not work na.

What could be the problem?  I tried connecting the Cignal box and BDP directly to the LCD and it worked fine without any problems.  Unit is still under warranty from SnS.

Based on my experience with SnS, they will advise u to bring the onkyo unit directly to Toyama.

kahit saan ganyan ang sistema, sa service center dapat dalhin ang appliances kung may problema basta dala mo ang warranty card kung valid pa or receipt as proof of purchased kung kailanganin for verification.

No.  But you can still watch 3D movies without a 3D capable AVR.  You will use 2 HDMI cables, one from the 3D player to the AVR for the sound, one from the 3D player to the TV for the Video.  This is assuming that your 3D player has 2 HDMI output ports.

This is just my theory, since the output of the avr cannot support huge 3D data, then logically it cannot pass-through either.

Hi-end 3D capable AVR can pass through 3D signals..

I'm in the premise of the question sir. Since his AVR is non-3D.

monoprice has a product that splits a single HMDI into 2 HDMI that supports 3D. one output can feed the display and the other to the avr. hopefully this will be the answer.

i don't own a BD player. is 2 hdmi output a standard now on BDPs?

if using a BD player with one hdmi out, i can hook the hdmi direct to the display and use optical for audio.

heard that optical does not support HD audio. will i miss a lot of "bang" if using the conventional audio format?

It's not standard for 3D players to have 2 HDMI output ports.  I know OPPO 3D players have 2 HDMI output ports.

If you are into 3D, I guess it will be best to have HD sound together with 3D viewing.  Optical does not support HD audio.  Only HDMI.
