TAXI DRIVER 30TH ANNIVERSARY Edition

I got the Collector's Edition and will see the film this weekend. This is actually the 20th times that I will revisit again this film. Robert De Niro is simply magnificent.

I don't like the packaging of the CE, its in snap case! Darn!There are rumors that Columbia Pictures is cooking a 30th Anniversary Edition of this Scorsese classic. A must for every Scorsese fan like me!

hi keats! im a big de niro fan as well. i sold my collectors ed dvd here. i might buy the 30th anniv ed though. kelan kaya release nito? this is one of my favorite de niro films (along with raging bull, king of comedy and the last tycoon)  :)

Peeps, no definite date of release yet. Still rumors but let's keep our fingers cross. Although the CE is not bad, I think TAXI DRIVER deserves a two-disc set.

I was surprised that Columbia Tri Star Home Video still use the crappy snap case.

your honor, you mean your CE copy is in snapper?  mine is in amaray keep case........ ::) 8)

Good news if the rumors turn out to be true...I don't have a copy of this yet. ;D Been contemplating getting the CE for a couple of weeks already. Now I have a reason to wait. ;D Thanks for the update sir keats! ;)

Too pricey dude. But DTS can give more justice to Bernard Herrmann's final musical score. I hope Columbia Tri-Star Home Video will release FLATLINERS in superbit also.

just seen the movie for the first time through the kindness of keating. thanks bro!

I really liked it, and liked it much better than new york new york (SCORSESE with de Niro also). this edition if will come out soon is a DEFINITELY must buy!

Grabe galing ng packaging!!!

Scorsese had two cameos in the film. One is as a background extra lang when Cybil Shepherd was on her way back to her campaign office. Another as Robert De Niro's passenger: he was secretly following her wife and witnessed her affair to a black man.  ;)
