Holy cow, I was just reading on the Intarrnet, that Eddie Garcia is 84!

So what are your favorite Eddie Garcia movies?

I would have to say ICU Bed #7, but I've never really seen that many Eddie Garcia movies, so maybe I should see some more.

He's one of the versatile actors we have around and only the critics noticed his wide range as an actor recently. Too late than never. He can do anything from comic to serious and even directing stuff.

And yeah his best performance was in PAGDATING SA DULO, TUBOG SA GINTO and TINIMBANG KA NGUNIT KULANG.

He can churn out good movies like ATSAY & IMORTAL, suspense, sexy movies like KUNG KASALANAN MAN.

Was that in order? Eddie's bravest role was in Brocka's TUBOG SA GINTO. He was hilarious in Berna's PAGDATING SA DULO.

He provided the comic relief in MAY LAMOK SA LOOB NG KULAMBO. And those gender-bending roles, forgot the titles of those movies, man.

there's a huge chance na maipalabas ang Pagdating Sa Dulo on cinema one...

SOFIA was able to find the print of PAGDATING SA DULO. Shot in glorious black and white, its mint! I hope they find also the gems from Bancom Audiovision.

I look forward to watching Pagdating Sa Dulo once again, and hopefully they show it without cuts. A film that important deserves respect.

By the way, I remember this Jun Aristorenas starrer where Eddie Garcia played the bad guy -- part of a gang of escaped convicts who shacked up in Aristorenas' house and subjected his family to a lot of hardships. Anyone knows the title of that movie? Garcia was so wickedly bad there.

PAGDATING SA DULO deserves to be comemmorated, indie. It rise above other mediocre flicks during the influx of the bomba era in 1971. It seems I'm watching a Federico Fellini film but more witty and powerful.

Bernal crafted a film within the industry that mock and infuse with social commentary. Almost all of the lines were unforgettable.

Thanks for reminding me about Stardoom! I'll watch it this weekend. I think I also have May Lamok. I can't remember the gender-bending roles, though, except the one where he plays a gangster leader and uses a pink pistol.
