Sir, how did you wall-mount the surround speakers? What materials did you use?
Hehehe.. A simple trip to any of the hardware stores (Ace/Handyman/TruValue/DIY) and a few hours work did it!
This is just temporary as you might see from my first post. I have plans of having my room renovated soon as I have money saved. This means those surround speakers will be resting on shelves or something more decent looking than DIY brackets.
For the Surround Left and Right speakers, I used Aleena Speaker Mount (Wall Mount) with short neck. This costs around P400 each. They also have wall mounts with long necks and ceiling mounts (short and long necks) if you need to mount it via your ceiling. Since my wall is wood, it's easier to bore a hole using a wood screw. The only concern I had was the speaker mount needs to be screwed at the back of the speaker to hold it and I don't want this. So what I did was to use 2 nuts to hold the bolt together in between the holding plate of the speaker mount to avoid moving and added a rubber pad so as not to scratch the speaker. See picture for a clearer picture.
As for the Surround Center, I just bought a shelf (available also in any of those hardware stores) and screwed the support to the wall. The shelves are available in different colors and sizes. This costs around P600 or higher, depending on size and color.
I hope these helped. Hehehe.. it seems another HT enthusiast in the making hehehe.. Hope to see your setup soon!!
