Got mine this afternoon at Hypermart Libis, contrary to some, mine got no stickers that indicate as mentioned (removed? maybe), box is okay, plastic cover still intact. It has a 1yr warranty (parts/service) but no mention about Pioneer, (this might be RCA's partner in services) just bring back the unit to the store where you bought it. Yep! no digital out! The heck! for 1,350/pc, okay na ito. Place one in my daughters room and the other at my Dad's library.

Brought R1 , R2 , R3, and p****d, ALL worked!!

Given that this units are refurbished, mas may tiwala pa rin ako sa branded iso generic brands. Sa BestBuy nga I use to buy Amps na open box, I get 50% off, doesn't bother me, all are still in working condition.

Got 6 players today for my friends and relatives, one apparently was not converted from Region1 to 0.

It can only play Region 1 DVDs, got to go back tom to have this replaced.

So make sure you bring all type of DVDs for test: Region 1, 3 and 0s

Not all my P*****d can be played, most but not all which could be played by my Nextbase and pioneer

Try this to make it region free:

1. Power on
2. Open tray-no disc in
3. Enter 16719
4. Current region displayed
5. Change to "0" for all regions and hit "enter"
6. The new region settings are displayed
7. Power off!

I bought one also in tandem with robertj, plays well all my DVDs and even performs well in audio. Hindi lugi sa Php 1,350. Mas ok compared to generic na mas mahal. Pwede ka naman mamili ng mamili as many as you wish until makapili ka ng sa palagay mo ay ok. Ang ganda ng black color. If i have the money, i'll buy again kasi maganda pang-regalo.

The salesperson from Hypermart SM North told me its one year bro. .The receipt will serve as your warranty card. I just took their word for it since there is no mention of a warranty in the receipt. Suggest you photocopy your receipts in case the original fades out since it is usually printed in thermal paper.

Napadaan ako sa SM North EDSA Hypermart, i checked kung marami pa ring stock ng RCA, mukhang malaki na ang nabawas sa stock nila na naka-display. Pero may bago dun na buy one take one din, it's GE brand naman and smaller ang size nya (akala ko nung una vcd player pero dvd player pala) and costs only Php 2.5K (or Php 1.25K/pc)!

Naka bili ako SM hyper mart E. Rodrigez ugong yun ibang case may gasgas na kaya mamili ka na lang talaga. Nun na test ko sa bahay ok naman, yun ibang burned CD ko na puro gasgas na hindi ko na mapatugtog dahil maingay na, lahat gumana at umayos ang tunog. Sabi ng salesman 7 days replacement at 1 year warranty

RCA owners: my father who owns half of the pair i got is complaning the player. Even the VCDs he rented from video city skips/stops in the middle of the playback, even the newly opened ones.

anyone currently experiencing the same? im thinking of bringing this back to Hypermart Libis.
