If those VCDs you have doesn't skip in other players, I'd suggest you bring them back and have it replaced. Bring along those VCDs that encounter skipping.

na-try nyo na ba yung COMPONENT VIDEO OUT nito. kasi yung akin pag COMPONENT out yung gamit ko, black and white lang yung picture. pero pag svideo and RCA out lang OK naman. OK naman yung component cable ko, and i know OK din yung TV ko kc yung pioneer player with the same cable and TV ok naman eh.

I got mine with two manuals, one in english and another in spanish. Maybe you can go back to the SM store where you bought your unit and demand for an english manual. You can just show your receipt as proof that you bought one from them. Pero hindi naman ganon kahirap i-navigate yung menu ng player, it's in english.

I had the defective unit replaced earlier, hopefully the replacement is ok already.

About a week ago, SM North offered these HTIBs on a Buy One Take One basis. The price was about 4,500 pesos. I never even got near the booth because there were so many people buying the stuff along with the GE dvd player.

sheeeesh. i hope i'm not too late.

two weeks ago, i was at SM North Edsa and saw a lot of people looking and buying the RCA dvd player. i never thought it was a good buy and treated it as something like those of surplus quality because of their buy one, take one promo. when i saw this thread,
i wish i gave it a second look.

are RCA players still on sale at SM North or any SM?

i am interested to get one - somebody might want to get the other so that we can avail of the promo -- if in case it has not ended yet.

FYI: Ang daming stock sa SM Hypermart Libis. Was there earlier this afternoon just to check on it and i was really surprised kasi ang daming stock. Gulat nga ako kasi mukhang ako lang ang tumitingin.

I asked the sales guy it these were brand new and he said..." kung ang tangong nyo sir kung kayo ang unang gagamit ang sagot ay oo..." I just found that answer a bit weird.

I asked if these were refurbished and he said hindi daw. 1 year warranty pa daw. If in case i bogs down, just send i over and they will replace it with another unit. Madami daw silang stock nito kaya there wouldnt be a problem replacing it. Marami na daw nakabili and kakaunit lang daw ang nagbalik.

Im considering to get one kaso wala siyang headphone jack. The unit looks pleasing naman to look at.

DTS will only work via coax - yun sabi sakin nung technician when i inquired a few months back. wasn't able to bring dvds to test it out before though...

DTS pass thru means you need an outboard decoder to get DTS.

After several missed opportunities, finally got to buy from this sale. great for my rental business. bought 4 sets kanina. at first walang pumapansin, nung makita marami ako kinukuha, pinagkaguluhan na. maraming may gasgas and dents, kailangan pilian, available in either black or silver body although mukhng gasgasin yung black.
