Doogie Howser MD - I only got to appreciate it when Star World showed the reruns five years ago.  ;D

Also does anyone remember the Super Six animated series? Man, I'd love to see that in a premium boxed set.

Whew! I thought I was the only one who remembered that cartoon! I  remember Granite man (is that correct?) most of all, perhaps coz that was a new word for me then..."granite"  ;D

I just remembered another sitcom that for me was laugh out loud funny. I mean I like Friends and Seinfeld and such but they never had me laughing so hard and so long that my eyes were tearing and my temples were pounding. I'm talking about Doctor Doctor which starred Matt Frewer. Unfortunately I don't think it was ever widely appreciated so I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to get my hands on a DVD of this. :( Anybody else here remember this show?

I was crazy about that show too! Matt Frewer was hilarious. I wouldn't think twice about parting with my hard-earned money if that show ever comes out on video.  ;)

This was a long thread to go through but it sure was fun reading other people list shows that I got so much entertainment from too, like Misfits of Science, Perfect Strangers, Greatest American Hero [You know the steps that need to be followed before the suit can fly? It's standard procedure when I have my superhero flying dreams haha], The Equalizer [with the ad in the paper that goes "need help? the odds against you? call 555..."..something like that :D], The Golden Girls, Newhart, Newsradio, Champoy!! [Mr. Boom-boom...]...& a whole bunch of other shows.

I'm not too sure about getting all of them on DVD though...budgetary constraints and all :). However, I'd definitely get Seinfeld when/if it comes out. Also, here's a list of kiddie shows that I'd want my future kids to have the chance of enjoying as much as I did:
  • Superfriends
  • Astroboy
  • Fairie Tale Theatre [that one that used to air on Channel 4 or 13]
  • Great Space Coaster [what was that funny looking elephant's name?]
  • Fraggle Rock
  • Jim Henson's Storyteller [According to Amazon, The Storyteller Collection is set to be released this August. I just don't know how many episodes it has. Hopefully, it's complete. Cheers SPaCeMaN SPiFF! :)]

does WONDER YEARS have a dvd.?

They've had two DVD releases. The first was a really lousy The Best of the Wonder Years. Lousy because the video only ran 71 minutes, and was composed of the 2-part series finale and a 20+ minute series of highlights from all previous seasons. That's all. Not even the pilot episode.

The second was a compilation of the all the Christmas episodes of the show, called (quite appropriately) The Christmas Wonder Years.

Neither releases were remastered in any way, and both are already out of print. I'm not aware of current plans to release full seasons of the show on DVD, but I haven't been following this title too closely.

Sorry for the 9 month delay in answering.  ;D

There is already a Starsky and Hutch DVD. go to this link

(non-working link removed - mod.)

I like "Parker Lewis Can't Lose" starring Corin Nemec and "MacGyver" to be on DVD.

No it's not.  ???

You have the highlights DVD of Season One, but it's not very well produced. The highlights DVDs of the UK Pop Idols are much better.

How about LA Law and Starsky and Hutch?

Starsky and Hutch Season One will be out on March 2. L.A. Law: The Movie is actually the 2002 reunion tv movie. The entire original cast returned except Jimmy Smits, who was shooting his scenes for the Star Wars films, and Blair Underwood, who just refused.

What about Doogie Howser M.D?  :) It was a 1989 TV series about a kid genius who earned his medical license (???) at  a very young age. The intro song just stuck in my head... i forgot the episodes though...

"for me, Tour of Duty!  ;D"

hehe got my wish already!!  ;D here's a quote from yahoo dvd news

"More exciting TV on DVD announcements have also come in from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment, who will release three favorites on June 8th. Fans can look forward to a four-disc Just Shoot Me: Seasons 1 & 2 collection, plus Tour of Duty: The Complete First Season which spans five discs, and finally the 80's classic Who's The Boss: The Complete First Season. Each is presented in 4:3 full screen and Dolby 2.0 stereo and include no extras aside from airdate and episode synopses. Retail will be $39.95 for the two comedies, and $49.95 for Tour of Duty. Knock on Our Door - 12:01am "
