Yep have them inside. The Akira u saw is part of the Anime Classic Limited Edition Box Set (pls refer to the pix posted earlier same thread). I got the Akira Metal tin too but at my home town

ei thanks.. pchin. actually, the plastics protect the dvds right.. but still having trouble with my tin collections.  decay is inevitable. might be because of room temp or something else. one bad thing about plastics is that they dont age quite gracefully. through time, some become crumpled as seen in the pix.. have to change them occasionally.

one good thing about plastics though is the fact that they maintain my dvds' fresh and pristine condition..

not clearly shown in the pix, there are two layers of dvds in that cabinet, the dvds at the back cant be seen. might go shopping for a new cabinet cause our carpenter took a holiday leave.. tsk tsk tsk.. AWOL 

anyhow, hope others can share their collections too..

Thanks bro for sharing both pix & tips in taking good care of our DVD collections! All the while I always assumed having a DVD collection is as easy as buying them & storing them (out of sight) plus throwing in a few bags of moisture absober....not till I saw your pix did I realize we need to exert extra effort in order to keep them well maintained! After all it's a big investment. Yeah... "pristine" condition is the right word hehe Yep eager to see the others' pix & hopefully we can learn a few more new tricks along the way

right buddy-o!!  at first, i also thought that this would be an easier hobby compared to aquarium fish keeping (my previous hobby). yikes!! it was too late when i realized that this hobby cost me more and maintainance is really high.. especially for LE's and unique releases...

though dont ask me about my HT setup, i know you guys have extremely updated high end setups. pending pa talaga til now yung sa akin. 8 months na delayed.  the only new acquisition in my HT setup are the gigantic framed posters of Fight Club, Chicago and Fantasia 2000.. got them as gifts this xmas..   would that count?

your collection is nice too.. seen it from the previous page.. take care of your collection..  make sure no dust enters your precious. just make sure you get the LE's first before the regular titles..  para mataas ang value ng collection.. you can sell it here or EBAY when the time comes that you dont want them na.. but how can you hate your collection?
