in the Previews of Neil Young: Heart of Gold DVD, paramount home entertainment announces a Special Collector's Ed. release for this title in Oct. 2006, it will be the very first time on DVD format for this 1981 epic masterpiece by warren beatty that netted him the oscar's best director award.......here's hoping for a multi-disc release loaded w/ lots of extras

Paramount Home Entertainment has sent over some early artwork for a 25th Anniversary Edition of Reds which stars Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton. This new two-disc special edition will be available to own from the 3rd October, and should retail at around $19.99. The film will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with both English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and English Mono tracks. Extras will include six featurettes (The Rising, Komrades, Testimonials, The March, Revolution Parts 1 and 2, and Propaganda) and a DVD trailer.
