101 Dalmatians (Animated Classic) was not released locally. The R1 is out of print with prices ranging from $60.00 up.

The fact is, the Region 3 version contains the same video track and the same "Disney Enhanced Home Theater Mix" (in Digital 5.1) as the R1 version. What the THX certification means is that Disney's DVD master met the strict performance criteria for video and audio playback as supervised by THX engineers. Now if you decide to watch Aladdin in Mandarin or Cantonese, that's a different story. It's likely those 2 tracks were not submitted to THX for evaluation -- another possible reason for the missing certification.

So the R3 version may not have the seal of approval in black and white, but you're still getting the real deal.

Thanks for the info, Firewired! All the while, I thought that since a THX certification is not indicated in the R3 Aladdin, the sound is inferior compared to the R1 release. Pareho lang pala ang audio tracks nila.

Tried my luck sa Alabang even if I am from QC to look for the following titles but did not find any:
a. Toy Story 1 & 2
b. Dinosaur
c. Pearl Harbor
d. Pirates of the Caribbean

Has anyone seen any of these titles. Thanks.

Tried SM Makati yesterday and Shangrila, unfortunately wala yung hinihanap ko na titles.

Anyways, those looking for Finding Nemo, saw a couple of copies sa SM makati sa video shop nila. YUng Aladin na 2 disc meron pa sa Video City ATC two days ago. Not sure kung meron pa today. Post ko later kung ano pa ang meron dun after I drop by later this evening.

It's a month long sale naman. So hopefully di ka mauubusan and may pang replenish sila ng stocks. what you need to worry about is baka matanggal yung ibang titles sa list like in the case of Fox titles.

But sana wag naman.

According to the personnel in Tower Records ATC, their Viva DVD titles will go on sale on Sept. 15.

Personnel in record bars in SM South Mall and SM City Manila said they have not yet received their "memo" about the sale, but they are aware that those titles will go on sale.

so far got brother bear (2disc) / aladdin (2 disc) / monster inc. (2 disc) / sword in the stone from sm makati. i was able to pick up pocahantas (1disc) / crimson tide (1disc) from video city, market!market! buena vista nga pala ang crimson tide, gr8 dts sound.

still hoping for incredibles and beauty & beast like everyone else.

There were about 3 or 4 Incredibles here at Video City at SM Sucat last Saturday.
