I've already auditioned this..  it has no  5.1 output,  and  can't read  MP4 and dvix ...

i have tried it using coaxial cable and nagwork naman un 5.1 output niya and i'm pretty sure na it can play divx

I have already tried divX and Xvid encoded videos and it works the only problem is the USB port... it seems can't accept high speed connection. I've tried divx xvid encoded movies via USB port with lower resolution videos ( VCD resolution) suddenly hang up, and also with high bitrate 300kbps mp3's. I'm still in the process of test. wala kasi akong digital tester....
But the Card Reader can support.

Sana High Definition DivX player naman..

Can it play movies (.mpg, .mpegs, .avi) and music from hard disks using the USB support?
How can it navigate the folders?

The pictures shown by allenpogi are that of AHHOO DVD-700 and the ones shown by ert are that of AHHOO DVD-600. The latest in the series I think is the AHHOO DVD-800 which I saw on the AHHOO website. I have the AHHOO DVD-600 that I got for P2,000 from a mall here in Lucena. I mainly bought it for DivX Movies that I downloaded. And it delivers fine quality. Of course that depends also on the quality of your DivX files. I burn my DivX movies on CD-RWs first for testing and then afterwards on CD-Rs. And they both work flawlessly. DVDs are also great on this player. I love this baby. This is my first DVD/DivX player. I don't have the means to test the USB and the Card Reader but I can assume that's also fine.

pwede ho ba ma play na kahit na anong video format? like avi , mpg ...etc and pwede ho ba ma play ung dvd9? at kung region free? and kung ma play ung subtitles? at saka pwede ho ba ma play ung avi kahit ang codec ay Xvid and sa Divx v6 pataas? or Divx5 lang?

Hello to all   

just wanted to share that I got hold of the DV700 last night and I was testing it with the Divx test disc available on the net. I am getting an unsupported format on about 30% of the tests with a lot involving mp4 files.

Would like to get an opinion sana here on the forum on whether this result is ok and just a limitation of the unit or is it a defective unit?

FWIW there was a pensonic with the card reader and usb port too, it was selling for just 300 more. would this be a better brand?

Would anyone here now if this applies to Ahhoo and Lexing ? Because if this were the case then I would just stick to ahhoo since its now carried by homeworks in the ever gotesco area.

as an update lang to those who need feedback on the units performance, my dvd700 is performing very well, being used almost 6 hours at a time , playing either movies or music.

Am i happy with it ? Well lets put it this way, I was asking for feedback about the relation between the Lexing and the Ahhoo because if the internals are the same then I will get a 2nd dvd player this week because my moms dvd just gave up the ghost 

But that of course will not sway me from dreaming of getting the Pioneer 696 or the Philips 5965 for my birthday   

But in the meantime I think my P 2174 for the ahhoo ay sulit na
