Resistance is opposition to the flow of electrical current. It's called "impedance", measured in ohms. The lower the gauge, the thicker the cable, and the lower the resistance. Ito yung material at kapal ng wire, hindi ng insulation.
Pero bale wala naman ang cable resistance sa table ni Roger Russell. Factored-in na kasi sa table na 'yon ang cable resistance.
Ang tinutukoy na resistance sa table ni Roger Russell ay sa speaker impedance. I used a 6-ohm speaker load with a 12-ga. wire as an example because it's the most common in home theater applications. A 12 ga. wire with a 6-ohm speaker load should not exceed 90 feet. Factored-in na ang impedance/resistance in the speaker wire itself, which means that wire impedance/resistance is OK at wire lenghts not exceeding 90 feet; and not OK at lengths exceeding 90 feet.
