DEAR MR. HANKEY: To cite, much less recommend, ANY ONE C-INTERACTIVE's execrable excuse for DVDs in this site is insulting to PinoyDVD's members. C-Interactive would perpetually succeed in one thing, be admonished: BASTARDIZING DVD quality. This means that all of its releases are certifiably inferior copies, farcical DVDs whose image resolution is technically a mere one-bit improvement to that of a VCD. To buy its product is to patronized and tolerate a bastard, unethical, cheating company which ought to be shut down promptly. It is even worse than Viva Films. Viva, undeservedly, has been given many duplicating franchises by the major DVD film studios. But here is the execrable fact: whenever a film is manufactured by Viva, the original DVD image resolution always comes out degraded or bit-rate inferior. This is a contentious issue for me, thats because I collect DVDs so that I would at least be able to have in my grasp the best possible copy of a cinema film. We ought to demand perfection because technically it can be done, by all means, and DVD would always be prohibitively priced, in comparison with other film mediums. But characters like Viva's Vic Del Rosario who acts like a Don Corleone now, gives us instead inferior duplicates, not minding that discerning videophiles could compare the original - hence legitimate - Region 1 copies with Del Rosario's "puwede na yan" merchandise, and in their hearts, truly gripes about it. That explains why responsible companies like WARNER would never allow Filipino hands to touch its duplicating industry - all of its DVD disks are imported from Taiwan, insuring that quality is the same as that of the Western original. Any one who gives their money to C-Interactive, as well as Viva, is bound to be bitter afterwards because his purchase is a farce, a waste of money. Would you like to go through a holdup? Then buying those P299 excretion is one done in broad daylight....
