Thanks! I didn't know there is such a local forum like this where people like us (you know, people with hyperacusis  :) ) can share and exchange ideas.

Haha  ;D Yeah, I know. No, it's just the favorite color of the family. Our lucky color.

Hyperacusis is a health condition characterized by an over-sensitivity to all or certain frequencies of sound (a collapsed tolerance to normal environmental sound).

lalim ng meaning nun sir... medical term???... ill ask more info once my wife comes home from duty. ;D ;D ;D

Congrats ulit sa set up... and enjoy your stay here.

Hehe, yup! It's a medical condition, extreme nga lang. Tayo siguro mga nandito minor cases lang, cause the only thing we cannot tolerate is "bad" (subjective ofcourse ;) ) sounding music eh, at least we can tolerate environmental sounds pa naman  ;D

Thanks again Sir.

Thanks Guys. Yup, that was the aim when we planned this configuration. I want the viewing area to be as clean looking as we posibly can. Minimal distractions. Based on your comments, it's an affirmation that, looks like we achieved the clean, minimalistic look. I haven't had the chance to change the drapes to a darker shade though. I think that would further enhance the "theater feel". Malapit na mag 4 years yung drapes ah! Sus, di pa nalabhan  :D

@ Kratos
Nature lover kasi Sir :) Siguro nga medyo nag reflect pagka nature lover. Organic colors kasi ano? BTW, I like the "Alien" head dun sa set-up mo sir.

@ Munskie
Are you from Pampanga Sir? Nice dedicated HT you have there by the way. Ganda nung screen. Ano gain niya?

Sir welcome to Pinoydvd! Cool Setup you got. May I know where did you bought the corks for your accoustic treatment and how much does it cost.

Thank you kefq.

The cork panels? I bought them from a local hardware store in San Fernando Pampanga. I forgot how much already kasi it has been almost 4 years this December. Rough estimate, I think I got them for Php300 more or less per panel. Size is  1/4x12x36" per panel. Medyo mahal but I tell you it's worth it. Gaganda tunog ng mga speakers mo specially if your room has a very resonant character.
If I might add, IMHO, the Room is the Number One "equipment" for a good sounding HT/Music room.

Goodluck Sir and Thanks again!

Hey Docs, aren't corks and too much insulation hazardous to health in such a confined space?  I guess there'll be some minute dust particles that can fly around due to vibrations coming from your speakers and sound waves that bounce all over the place.  Just curious.   :)

Good question Sir. I do not think so unless one is allergic to cork particles. Sound waves coming from just average or even high powered systems will not be sufficient to disturb the cork panel so as to cause the particles to fly around the room, unless ofcourse the speaker drivers are in direct contact with the cork panel  ;D. Plus, air-conditioners have filters in them, so that will also help. Besides, "city air" is far worse... and that is one thing worth worrying about.

Just my thoughts...
