bono,

San V Mall madami component cable for PS3 -- 450 lang.

btw, use component instead of composite para mas maganda ang PQ (like what skylynx wrote).

yup, i mean component video... sori my mistake.... old system pa eh, my avr accepts component video, optical and coaxial for digital inputs. No hdmi, also with my TV, component video only.

summary:
for digital audio: ps3 - optical to optical cable - avr
for digital video: ps3 - hdmi to component cable - avr

is this possible?

thanks for the reply... my avr have 2 component inputs, i used 1 for my regular dvd (sd) player and 1 for ps3 (bd), then from avr output to tv... no, it's not an hdtv, it's a progressive tv... kung mahirap maghanap o walang hdmi - component cable, ano kaya ang ibang component cable na pwedeng ikabit sa video output (digital signal) ng ps3?

thanks kt... ps3 have two output slots, 1 is for hdmi (digital) and another 1 is for composite (cable incuded in package, combined audio and video)... i have a ps1 and i'm not familiar with ps2, yung av component cable na sinasabi mo, yung kabilang dulo nya ba ay hdmi?

bro same sila ng kabitan sa PS3 ng composite. parang ganito:
pero in your case ok na di mo na gamitin yung audio out nyan since your going to use your optical

thanks for the reply sir kt... now i know what it look likes... btw, is there a PQ difference if i use these components versus the composite (cable supplied by ps3), since the source jack input is the same?

In terms of PQ:  HDMI > Component > Composite
DALI OPTICON 8 : Zensor : Polk Audio F/XiA4 : ONKYO 5010 : OPPO BDP-103 : Panny AE8000 : Dual PB1000

In terms of PQ:  HDMI > Component > Composite

yes its very true sir oreoshake... hdmi, if it's hdmi out connector... component, if it's component out connector... composite, if it's composite out connector.

the problem in ps3 is there is no dedicated component out connector, it's just hdmi and the multi a/v connection. i'm trying to ask you guys that if there's a difference in PQ if i used a component or the composite (cable supplied by ps3) since the out connector source is the same (in multi a/v connection).

hi bono. oreoshake is correct. i think u can go progressive when youre using component VS the composite resulting to better pq. this goes the same using the PS2 even before

Easiest way I can thnk of is:

PS3 --> LCD (HDMI 1) --> HTiB (via RCA)
DVD Player --> LCD (HDMI 2 or Component 1)
Dream --> HDMI 2 (not sure if Dream is HDMI or just the regular cable ant)

If you want to play your PS3 with an extra UMPH then turn on your HTiB and put in Aux mode.
*Pwede din: PS3  Optical/Coax audio out to Optical/Coax input of the HTiB (kung meron)

JoNi yup tama si jeyps u can do it those ways.

if walang HDMI yung htib n may optical naman:
PS3: for video - PS3-hdmi-lcd
        for audio - PS3-optical-htib
just fix the settings sa PS3 na for audio is optical

take note that the x-20t does not have any hdmi. but you can connect the L/R rca of your ps3 to the aux in of the x20t. use hdmi for the ps3 and use component sa x-20t.

so x20t --- component  ---> LCD (video)

ps3 --- hdmi (audio and video)
--- use the L/R rca's to input into the aux in of the x20t (for using sound out of the HTIB)

walang optical ang x20t... the only input it has is analog L/R thru aux in.

yes teh l/r aux is possible, that is what my brother-in law did with the htib i sold him. But it only outputs analog signal for the sound, so depewed ung dts, and dolby digital. But the sound is better than before and good enough for gaming na din.

hi im new to PS3 here....ask ko lang pwede ko bang pagsabayin ito:

video output - HDMI cable to LCD
audio output - av cable L/R red&white rca (supplied w/ps3) to an ordinary pro logic receiver (wala pang optical)

wla pa me budget to go for a HDMI receiver

to cut the long story short pwedeng bang ilabas ng PS3 digital video and analog sound at the same time...(na aadjust ba yun sa audio settings ng PS3,
thnx sa info in advance
