Thats wat i really like about the ps3 it has an internet browser n it is controlled by bluetooth n wifi technology i wake up early morning 5-6am and by just lying on my bed i can turn the tv and the ps3 on and surf the net coz its faster early morning. thats also the reason why having an extra controller is necessary.

To those who are interested in a very good MKV player, I am accepting orders for the TViX 6500A and TViX 7000A.

I personally have a TViX 7000A now which is being used as an mkv player coz my PS3's hard drive is full of vob files already. I am giving away a bonus of 10 Titles per order (copied to the HDD).  For more details, please send me pm. I don't want to be accused again of promoting piracy.

Thanks

btw here are the product links:

thanks again

Region code                                 Area
A                   Americas; East and Southeast Asia.
B                   Africa, Europe, Oceania; Middle East; French territories; Greenland.
C                   Central and South Asia; Mongolia, Russia, and People's Republic of China.

as you can see, the philippines, japan, hongkong and singapore belongs to one region, kaya the ps3s we buy here which are usually from those places play the same blu-ray region discs (region a), nagkakatalo nalang sa dvd region, because japan is dvd region2, usa is dvd region1 and so forth and so on.

region free is only for blu-ray games. but from dvd's 6 region, bluray only has 3 regions.

I am currently enjoying the files downloaded from the internet.  The players play flawless and smooth MKV files with subtitles that can be toggled.

These units both have the capability to send DTS HD and DD+ signals unlike the lower models that tvix has (based on future firmware). Another important feature both these players have is they are HDMI 1.3a and like the PS3, can carry lossless audio and 24 bit video going to an HDMI 1.3 receiver.  Future proof ika nga.

Lastly, will you worry about storage when you can put in 1 terrabyte SATA II HDD @7200 rpm.  Also the GUI is customizable, and you can use icons to represent the titles instead of the usual text forms. Pretty neat uh...

Just got Old Boy & Saw IV in Master Audio 7.1 Surround...."Screams of agony never sounded so good".  ;D

For these two movies, the PS3 can output the two surround back channels correctly. :)

Hahahaha that's my 60gig ps3 your talking about, the one that cost 14,000.00 pesos. It's sold already. But it has no internet really. Wireless and Wired connections aren't working. But that's just it.

At this point I am still debating on whether to buy any Blu-ray titles but I do want to maximize my PS3. Can the PS3 also upconvert standard DVD signals?

Is there a device/converter (with HDMI in and HDMI out) that can hook up the ps3 by hdmi to an analog audio receiver?

I just bought the other day a USB operated ps3 cooling fan (P180 from cdrking) that is supposed to suck in cool air para palamigin ng konti ang loob ng ps3. Then I read in one of the posts here that it is not advisable to use as it might destroy the ps3. Alin ba dito ang tama?

Bro, if you own a HD display, then buying Blu-ray movies is the next natural step. Welsome to the HD world! ;)

mars,

the ps3 don't need any additional cooling devices. It might even hurt if you put unofficial products like cdrking. Just follow the manual's instructions on how to keep your unit cool.

Bro, you can check sa settings - sound settings - audio output settings. If you are connected sa audio via optical connector or audio input connector, piliin mo yun. It will turn your hdmi audio off. Hope this helps.

bro, where can i get an Optical cable for the audio side of the PS3? and how much is it?
i only have an HTIB which has one HDMI out... i can only connect the audio out of the PS3 through the optical cable -> HTIB...

the HDMI port of the HTIB is already connected to my TV... and i tried connecting the PS3 via HDMI to htib but no sound came out though i configured it properly (i think)....
