Yes, I agree updating tru USB is much faster. I only tried once updating direct from the PS3 & never would do that again... ;D

i updated my system from 2.42 to 2.52 direct from ps3, it only takes 2mins to download and install the updates... ;D
so far no problems encountered

I believe SD quality rin ang lalabas since youre just using an SDTV so no difference lang din siguro from watching a DVD.

a lot here in the Philippines doesnt know that outputting HD videos is not that simple since you'll have lot of different factors like source and TV and cables, yung iba iniisip nila na dahil naka hdtv na sila gaganda at dapat hd na rin mapapanood nila when playing pirated dvds

i see.. if via dvd component, maganda na rin ang resolution niya? i saw some screenshots kasi sa isang site wherein they compared hd vs sd presentation ng ps3. sa sd malabo and hirap basahin ng in-game text sa hd naman eh ang linaw sobra.

Hello guys!  I recently purchased a PS3 from Datablitz.  Tanong ko lang, dun sa creation ng account sa Playstation Network, walang 'Philippines' sa drop-down list.  Ganun ba talaga?   ???

Need an excuse to get a standalone BD player. I'm waiting for my PS3 to break down (lens problem, etc) but after so many months of abuse this one tough machine is still alive & kicking...no sign of slowing down at all. ;D

This is what I did.  I set my PS3 to use a static IP and opened the necessary ports.  I'm also using the above-quoted DNS servers.  Ok na ang download.  Di na nadidisconnect or nagsa-sign out.

Pero... ano yun media server?  ???
