So.....had much to drink celebrating the holidays and decided to test out the acoustics and the new HT set up in general. My Bose 301's have been serving me extremely well for last dozen years and are still in excellent shape. Tested out various speaker positioning and last tried to place them on a pedestal to compare to other positions. After about 30 minutes of music on high volume the speaker crashed to the ground. Cabinet integrity is now comprimised and chipped ( compressed fiberboard is sprouting wings) and woofer is now belching like a frog during mating season. No doubt woofer is "DONE". Will bring it in for a diagnostic soon enough.
Replacing the speaker is no problem ..but...can the cabinet be repaired?
I know Bose service center was located near Greenhills shopping mall but just 2 weeks ago looked like they were closed due to renovation or perhaps they even moved. Anyone know where they relocated to?
Is there a service center near Alabang area?
