if i'm in a market for plasma tv now, i'd rather get the 50pv70 than the 42pv80. just add one egg lang....este 10k pala and you'll get home a monstrous TV. iba talaga ang 50" kesa 42", though the difference is only 8"  but the impact when watching movies is bigger mapa woowww talaga kayo kahit sa standard dvd lang

yes bro i agree a ganda tlga when ur viewing a 50" panel compared to a 40-42"size. My question is how high from the floor is most ideal to place a 50" plasma for best viewing? I noticed that it perhaps looks smaller when wall hanged 3ft high from the floor.

my tv is mounted 1 meter from the floor and yes, when it is wall mounted it becomes smaller. i had it placed on a stand before (stand ng 29" crt tv) and all we say was wow ang laki. but now the impact has reduced due to the tv is farther away from the sofa. here's my set.

very nice HT set up. maliit tlga tingnan pa nsa wall due to the farther viewing distance at tsaka nakatingala ka pa. I reaaly dont know pero dpat ata it should be placed just a feet from the floor para malaki sya tingnan.

Hi Mr. Jeff, Thanks for the accommodating staffs you have, talagang all out ang assistance na binigay ninyo sa amin!!!
About my concerns:
1. hindi masyadong maitim ang dark scenes sa movies -  sorry about this, we tested the panel using a regular dvd player when we've noticed this, but when we used an hdmi dvd player with upscaling capability (up to 1080p), wow... black is really black!!
no more complains here, thanks for your patience. kelangan lang pala upscaled yung movie para gumanda. baka mas maganda pag blue-ray na, hehe..
2. the left hand side of the panel have a whitish vertical line na parang pundidong bulb - You have actually sent a unit to your trinoma store for us the inspect!!!, and my wife did inspect the new unit using a flashlight, sabi kasi ni Em na baka may effect ang lighting sa store ninyo kais subdued kaya d namin nakikita sa sa display units, and finally we were convince that what we have observed at home was also present in the store's units, so this is normal and not a defect after all.
We opted not to have our unit replaced anymore (kahit na naka-ready na ang pamalit mo). Again, my thanks to you and your staffs.
We are now among your very satisfied customer.

using the same bluray source 1.3 version cable. nasa center pa ako nag 32a450 off center pa yung LG plasma.
