ayan... kumuha na ako kanina ng dv600s. ed and a girl (belen?) took care of my order. went out of our office at exactly 8pm and it's already @8:15 when i parked at the north open parking area. so medyo nagmamadali ako pagpasok sa loob dahil kailangan ko pang hanapin ang store. went straight to the 3rd floor and asked the first guard i found for directions. luckily naman, he's familiar with the place already so he pointed me to the right path. so, when i entered the store, order na agad for the unit and browsed around while waiting for it. pressed for time so didn't have much time anymore to audition anything. just time enough though to admire the displayed wharf 9.6's. nice place you have there, sir nemesis. i'm just sure i still can't find my way back again without asking for directions.  :D maybe by the time of my third visit.

anyway, thanks for the nice price.  made my decision making process easier coz i was previously looking at the philips and samsung 1080p players. :)

i currently have a philips 5500s universal (sacd) player. works fine for my philips 29" pixel plus whether in interlaced or progressive.... although it's a tiny bit soft on the latter. no sharpness adjustment kasi on the player or the tv when in progressive mode.

i recently acquired a used pana ae900. using 2m component cables for testing mukhang ok naman. but i don't wanna run three cables to the pj sa side walls as i have an open ceiling, so it's hard to conceal them aesthetically... so my need for a new hdmi player. after much research i ended up deciding on this one. i was tempted na sana to buy the 400s then. good thing i waited.

anyway, will post feedback on this player sa branded dvd players' thread na lang siguro. no hdmi related feedback coz i don't have one yet.

speaking of cable, sir nemesis..... the cashier have shown me a long ON Labs (is it???) gold-plated HDMI cable in plastic wrapping but no label of length or price. how much is it kaya, and how long?

bro congrats for your new gear! well wait for your review though. I have the ax100 and since the ae900 and the ax100 are  wthin the same category  your review may be of big interest to me. BTW, that HDMI may have been the 1.5 m cable priced at 1.9k  ;)

Sir Nemesis,  thanks for the deal on the Pana 42PV70H. Wow ang laki ng TV mo Dad! says my 6 yr old daughter and my wife is so mesmerised watching (Starship Troopers R1DVD that comes with the deal). PQ is better than my Samsung 32R71 LCD (parked on the side of the pana), natural, detailed and non fatiguing in the eye during long movie watching. 20 Hours break-in, mga 10 movies yun ah! kayang kaya, wala na munang malling and outing.  Works perfectly well with my Pioneer DV400 (1080P upscaler), HK AVR135, Velo CHT8R, all Bose speakers.
      I'm using an ultra link HDMI cable (bought it P4800). You said you have version 1.3 HDMI, will it still improve the pioneer signal? How much po?

Thanks po,  Theater Works... Highly Recommended!

btw.  hindi nga pala nagkasya sa car yung Pana in the box, wrong estimate ko, have to call help pa from a friend who brought a bigger ride. Binan, Laguna is a long drive pa.

nemesis, i was wondering if the 42pv70 has pip/pop/split screen functions? i went to your store last week and sabi ng staff mo meron na daw...kahit daw yung 42pv60 and GS9 have pip fucntions na rin...is that right? kung wala, pa pm naman ng mga plasma sets na may pip functions together with the price..thanks.

Tested it last night and liked what I saw  ;) better than the Samsung DVD-HD870 or maybe because of the HDMI 1.3 cable also vs Samsung HDMI free cable. Will try to interchange the HDMI cables this weekend do get a better idea  ;)

naku sir punta ka na sa Theater works kasi if i am not mistaken kahapon two units na lang ang available kaya kinuha ko na ang isa  ;D experimenting on different DVD players and yung pio 600 is my 6th player na. trying to dispose of some kasi di ko din ginagamit  ;)

I got a meeting while ago ang i cant go there , kaya pinadeliver ko na ung natira, sana dumating before 5 today so i can use it tonight with my AX100. Got some guests and its Friday  ;D
