:) mga bro anu ba maganda ipares sa pioneer vsa-d8tx ko na 5.1? any suggestion? kelangan ba pareho ng brand ang center, front, & rear speakers?

Tested my pio av/r s Klipsch ko. Bagay siya. Dark kasi ng unti yun pio av/r ko, which blended well with my Klipsch.

Maybe you can consider getting a wharfedale 10.1 or 10.2 if you can get over the illusion that they are a cheap speaker, locally. It belongs to the sub $500 market in the US along with the RTi BS line. It delivers a warm sound and a thick mid-range. I have the 10.1 in my bedroom setup paired with a TA2020 t-amp and Opeth just absoluuutely kills!! (Ghost of Perdition). Dream Theater's Count of Tuscany being one of my favorite songs of all time, is just really emotional with these speakers.

Well, just as everyone here would say: Always trust your ears and no one else's. This is a subjective hobby after all. So go out there and Audition!  ;D

sir, what small speaker can you recommend for a 5.1 setup? I plan to set it up in our bedroom. My chioce so far is the POLK Audio RM series and any small package by B&W. Room size is about 30 SQm excluding the walk-in closet and the bathroom. my choice for the sub is the 6-inch one from velodyne. will be used for watching movies (dvds, NMT, and even cable). and i don't want those expensive models budget is around 25K.

also, what is your take on the sound bar sold by 5th avenue (Teac brand) and CDR King? I'm planning to buy one to be set up at the living room for all around purposes.

Guys, Recommend naman kayo ng BS Speaker na nasa 30-35k price range. To be used with a T-amp for near-field applications lang. Ito palang nasa isip ko:

-Polk Audio LSi7
-Monitor Audio RX2

What should I get sa dalawa? May iba pa ba kayo ma-recommend?

Addendum: This is to be a 2.0 setup with a sub (high-level).

what kind of t-amp are you planning to use? im not sure if a t-amp can secure a firm grip on the speakers you mentioned. better try it first.

I will purchase a TK2050 chip based t-amp once I get a hold of my future speaks. I think it would be sufficient enough since near-field naman ang application. Looking at the specs, mukhang compatible naman.

My TA2020 based amp can drive a wharfedale diamond 10.1 really well. Almost same lang specs ng 10.1 sa mga na mention kong speaks in terms of recommended wattage. I also think na kaya ng TA2020 yung mga na-mention ko  ;D

So, any recommendations?  :)

Hi all,

I'm currently in the market for a speaker package to be mainly used for movies and gaming. I've narrowed down my choices to three 5.0 packages (next time na lang yung sub) which currently fits my budget of 20k:

1. Jamo S 606 HCS 3 (http://www.jamo.com/eu-en/products/s-606-hcs-3-description/)
2. Wharfedale Diamond 9 HCP (if i'm correct consists of 9.5, 9.SR, 9.CS)
3. Mordaunt Short Carnival (Carnival 6, 5, 3)

I've had a listen to all three of them (not extensive listening though) and they all sound good to me. Any recommendations on what package to get or any other recommendations that would fit my budget of 20k?

TIA!

Well eto na. Nakapag upgrade na ko ng amp ko from Topping TP22 (TK2050) to a Yaqin VK2100. Alam ko I have asked this before, pero iba amp ko nun and as you can see, ang na recommend sakin ay Klipsch. Pero for this amp naman, ano kaya sa mga choices na to ang marerecommend nyo? Budget of up to 30k lang.

-Dynaudio Audience 40 (2nd Hand)
-Monitor Audio RX2
-Wharfedale Diamond 10.7

100% music. For progressive rock/metal genre using a PC based system using a fairly upgraded DAC.

I think Marc/AVShop has that amp in his shop. Try it with different speakers to see which one works for you.

I think this amp is on the bright side. The Diamond 10.7 might work with it, though I'm yet to try them together.

kung ako ang pipili, (granting na kayang -kaya i drive ng yaqin) i will choose a speaker that is not too revealing because of the type of genre (rock/metal). imho most of mainstream music kasi have poor recording quality kya halata kung masyadong neutral or detalyado ang mga gamit. Hence, subukan mo muna yan choices mo using your amp and cd/test materials, before you buy.

Dynaudio. No contest. For sound quality, neutralness/transparency yet still with the bass that your preferred music genre requires. Although this is the smallest of the Dynaudio range, you'd be surprised at how big it sounds, acclaimed as one of the best speakers ever. None of your other choices comes close. And your amp can drive it.

Well eto na. Nakapag upgrade na ko ng amp ko from Topping TP22 (TK2050) to a Yaqin VK2100. Alam ko I have asked this before, pero iba amp ko nun and as you can see, ang na recommend sakin ay Klipsch. Yup I took the ongoing 'loudness war' as a caveat when I indulged myself into this genre. I actually listen to not-so-mainstream bands like Porcupine Tree, Transatlantic, Liquid Tension Expmt, and Opeth which have decent to good mixing in their albums.

Upon further reading, mukhang sa Dyns na nga ako mapupunta although nagdadalawang isip ako since 1999 pa linabas yung Audience 40 and siguro nasa 12years old na yung speakers na bibilin ko ngayon  ???. How bout the RX2? Is it that bad compared to the Audience 40?

The RX2 is nice, but it's not my first choice for the amp that you have. Give them a listen to see if they'd suit your application.
