thanks for ur comment & input sir matzter!

btw, have u auditioned a klipsch synergy sub?
i listened to 1 in spectra & loved what i heard! ;D

but i think i must audition velodynes muna before
passing the judgement....

ps:
cant say im immune to SARS!!!
hehehehehe......

Thats the most important thing, you loved what you heard. Only you can determine what sound you like, not the members here :D

Havent tried the Klipsch

Not sure if you are immune to SARS? then (I would recommend) go straight for the mid levels. It will save you much from upgrade costs.

IMO for HT, the improvement of mid level subs from entry levels is more obvious.

For music, its the upgrade to mid level speakers (coupled w/ mid level receivers) that make the improvements .

just my 2 cents

anong alternative natin sa bose acoustimass na cube like speakers?

do other brands have these already and where are they purchased locally?

thanks

need it for a new LCD wall mounted display of my aunt

gusto nya yung malinis eh

Look for the Gallo Acoustics Micro. Inform me if interested.

http://www.anthonygallo.co.uk/

This is more aesthetically appealing and better sounding than Bose Accoustimas. Has a lot of mounting options. Has different colors to choose.

What speakers for Denon 1507? Help!
« Reply #729 on: Jul 03, 2007 at 06:18 PM »
Hi guys. Have been lurking here for quite I while. I really get a lots of ideas from reading post of members.

Anyway, I will be setting up a home theater system when I go home this Aug. Small room only, I think 3x6m.
I have a Denon 1507 which I will hook up to my Hitachi TX200 projector and maybe to an LCD tv that im planning to purchase.
My problem is the speaker system to match it. I intend it mostly for watching movies and maybe for music listening from time to time.
i have scouted the stores here and have found this speakers systems:

Marantz LS600
Denon SYS-905ht
Infinity Primus 250 + surround/center

Basically, all systems are in the same price range (about P19K at present currency conversion) but the Marantz has an extra subwoofer.

What do you think will match best to the Denon receiver?
Or is there a speaker system that you can suggest.

Need your insight.
Thank you very much.

im not an expert, but based on what i've been getting from our gurus here, the best suggestion is to audition it together with your amp. you can try to bring your AVR to the store or something so you can audition. that's what i did when i bought my 1st pair of speakers. hope this helps...  :)

Thanks Sir!  Nag "listening " naman ako sa Archi non may dala ako 3 cd for testing.  HK na 100 series pa nga lang avr noon sa demo.
I liked what I heard and placed an order immediately.  The best thing is, when I finished setting-up at home and listened to my cds, detail was so much better when I first heard it in Archi.  In short, mas maganda tunog sa TV room ko kesa store he!he! (lucky me ;D ;D)
(might be that HK 340 also has a lot more ooomh than 100series also he!he!)

oo nga sir, sobrang ganda talaga ng tunog ng concept series. my 1st set of speakers i bought from them is the concept 1. 2.1 setup lang pero maganda na, and that time sherwood lang na 5.1 AVR gamit ko.  :) iba talaga kapag mas mataas and power ng AVR mo, kaya siguro mas maganda yung tunog since you gave the HK300 series. project ko ngayon receiver (still thinking kung denon o HK  ??? ??? ???) and the complete 5.1 setup na. archi audio pa din 1st choice ko na shop of cors... sobrang accomodating kasi talaga sila. ;D ;D ;D

for a small room maganda yung focal 705 kahit maliit lang detailed naman crystal crisp yung sound coming from those tweeter and woofer kulang lang sa bass thats the downside pero kung vocals and instruments pwede na. quite pricey but i think on sale na sa avdi at 40% discount. Also try the bigger brother 706 and 707.

The best recommendation is to bring your amp and test test test test. With your budget you would not want to choose based on other people's preference.  I am sure you have your own preference.  Sellers are more than happy to let you try out their products.  Start assembling you favorite tracks....the ones that you are very familar with including the details of the music.  Bring this when you test.  You need also to tell us what kind of sonic character your prefer in your music or what type of music do you normally listen to.  Seldom there is a perfect speaker for all types of music.

Hope this helps in your search.

Sir,

It really depends on the variables you have.  room size, type of music you listen to most of the time.  Audio is very subjective so you can either bring your amp around and audition it with the speakers or ask the dealer to schedule a home audition.

Just our product lines for instance Aurum Cantus, Vandersteen and ERA design all have speakers within your budget that can be powered by your amp.  Why do we carry different brands?  Well their sound characteristics are quite different so we need them to satisfy different market tastes.

Mabigat yung power amp. siguro nga 30kgs, mahirap na dalhin ko sa shop para mag auditioned at saka malayo ang location, Cavite, City. Ang size ng room ko is 18 sq meter. Kailangan ko lang ng cooment of what speaker to choose.

Salamat

Cheapest na ata ung 600series..im not sure kng mas mura ang CM series. Pero im sure hindi cheap ang quality. Floorstanders mostly are boomy compared to bookshelf speakers. Mas bagay ang floorstanders sa malalaking room. And ang alam ko they're more difficult to drive, and of course, you might need a more powerful AMP to drive them.
