Would anyone know the difference between this and the 2-disc previously released by Viva? Are there any new special features in this 40th Anniversary Edition?

I looked for this today at Astro but couldn't find it.

If it's the same as the R1 40th Anniversary edition, then it has all-new documentaries - Julie Andrews & Christopher Plummer: A Reminiscence, From Liesl to Gretl: A 40th Anniversary Reunion, When You Know the Notes to Sing: A Sing-Along Phenomenon, Mia Farrow screen test, A Few of My Favorite Things: A retrospective documentary, a new commentary track with cast, choreographer and an actual Von Trapp, and more.

I think the documentary special features from the old set (Salzberg: Sight and Sound, The Sound of Music: From Fact to Phenomenon) all didn't make it to this new release.

Hopefully someone who's seen this in stores can confirm if the R3 is the same as the R1.

40th anniv is DD 5.0 while the previous release was in DD4.1 nwala yung LFE

Yung Simpsons Collection kaya may subtitle and DVD quality kaya? Meron akong VCD versions of those 3 volumes and baka they just crammed all of then in one DVD tapos di malinaw.

At the shop where I saw it, the computer said it was 250, but the VIVA representative said 199 na lang daw. To answer aoshi900's question, I think this is VHS-quality, at best. It's apparently a VIVA DVD-5 release, with so many episodes. Not sure how many discs are in what looked like a single-DVD case.

Didn't check, but yung 2-disc, Dolby lang. Kahit yung R1 na 2-disc, walang DTS na nakasulat sa slip case.

Is the LE version of KING KONG, worth it? Looked at it yeasterday and I was wondering if I should buy it before teh stock runs out...SHOULD I?

It depends what you're looking for, crazyguyallert. If you're looking for good quality, full-featured discs, then YES. If you're one of those who cares A LOT about packaging and slipcases, then... think twice before taking the plunge.

For me, Php 895 with a FREE DVD for the R3 vs. $19.98 + shipping and no free DVD = screw the packaging, I want my R3 Kong!
