Genius Products LLC. and The Weinstein Company have announced the Region 1 DVD release of The Infernal Affairs Trilogy for 13th February 2007. Released on the Dragon Dynasty label and timed with the DVD release of The Departed, the critically acclaimed Infernal Affairs series is directed by Wai Keung Lau and Siu Fai Mak and stars Tony Leung (Hero) Andy Lau (House of Flying Daggers) and Edison Chen (The Grudge 2)

Infernal Affairs 2 and Infernal Affairs 3 will be available as separate collector’s editions as well as in an all-new box set with the original Infernal Affairs film. The single discs will have a suggested retail price of $24.95 and the box set will be available for $39.99 SRP.

This release is just riding by the hype of The Departed (despite being the original screenplay holder)..

I would still route for the original 8 disc set

i would love to have the 8disc dvd, but cant seem to find 1 nowadays

It's still available in Singapore and HK. Be ready to pay a high premium though. It's worth it IMO. I purchased one during its release and sold it. I have to request a good friend to buy another set for me. I dont think I'll make the same mistake twice...
