When will this be released here? The R3 at CD Wow has a February 13 release date (same as R1) and it has DTS.. Is it possible that we will be getting the same?

r1 has a slipcase cover. seeing that this is thru warner, looking forward to the r3 release.

saw leaflet last night in Astro Podium, The Departed (priced at P550 and P750)and Happy Feet (P550) will be released either March 12 or 19 as per sales staff

Isn't The Departed a Warner release? From the pricing, it seems it's a Viva title...550 for the single disc and 750 for the 2-disc release.

yup its a Warner release. The P750 price is a limited edition. It comes with a book. Will check again the specific package for the said price.

Got a message from Astro Makati that this will be released March 1 and price is at P750 for the steel case and P599 for the ordinary case. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

I saw Warner's leaflet a while ago. The steel case is indeed priced at P750.

This is good news for everyone. Warner has always managed expectations of consumers by presenting descriptive and factual information re their releases while the other local studios provide vague overviews hoping to solicit blind buys based on useless debates and past releases.

That version with DTS is actually different from the regular 2-Disc editions.. The features are different and the movie is split between 2 discs.. Full bitrate kasi yung DTS..

With that, I don't think may DTS yung irerelease dito.. But I may be wrong..

I saw this in Bangkok 3 days ago. The SE 2 disc edition was in a black box with a shirt or some kind of cloth inside. It was priced at 640 baht (P918 pesos). They also had the 1 disc edition.

Oh well, it's removed from 'New Releases' now, guess PinoyDVD.biz lose a sale to Astrovision again... If only it was up today, I believe PinoyDVD.biz could have gotten a few hits, just as Superman Collection resulted in a the most significant spike in PinoyDVD.biz's sales to date...

If they had it up tomorrow, most people would get them from Astrovision, as the first adopters are an impatient bunch...

Street date for The Departed is tomorrow, 01 March 2007. We will definitely start processing orders by today. We are just awaiting delivery of the stock for both the Tin can and regular versions. Sorry if we had to take out the titles temporarily since these were reflecting in our store as out of stock.

Just got a call from Randyv with a bit of bad news. There was a problem on Warner's side regarding inventory & logistics, so while they were supposed to deliver later this afternoon, it looks like the online store will only be able to get its stock first thing tomorrow. Not sure who else got affected by this.

Unfortunately, this means that PinoyDVD.biz can only start processing orders and shipping them out tomorrow, March 1. Customers will likely receive their copies on Friday, March 2.

Apologies for the inconvenience, but Warner and PinoyDVD.biz will take steps to ensure that this does not happen again for future new releases.
