no, I just used my klipsh bookshelf speakers with a sensitivity of 96dB.
played audiophile, easy listening music; nothing like rock,rap,hip-hop.

my mp5 is almost 2 mos old.

I suggest you just bring it to wherever you bought it and claim warranty since its only two months. Looks like there might be a problem with the power section.

If that doesn't work, try bringing it to Audio Amplified (look for Noel or Jerome) and have it checked out. Call first so Jerome is there when you drop by so he can check it out. You can reach him at 09205556684.

btw, the third tube you are referring to is a 6E2 magic eye.

thank you for all your contributions

i am quite new with tubes but can a tube be defective even if the tubes light up? is this possible? or once a tube is dead it does not light up at all.

yes and yes, depends on te tube's problem, if it's the heater then it will obviously not light up.

madali lang yan, don't worry too much, you have warranty naman, the most important thing here is to know what is the problem and why.
