Topic: Dvd Player(s) that can play .mkv / .ogm files

Is there a player already that can play .mkv or .ogm formats etc? I don't have plans of converting it to .avi formats and as much as possible, I want players that can upscale upto 720p and 1080i. Ill be using it on a Sharp Aquos HDTV.

Where can I buy them and how much is it going to cost me if ever?

Hi!  I've been browsing the net for standalone players form .ogm and .mkv as well but no luck

What I found is a firmware made by Gufiak for pioneer players, which can play .ogm files.
Its an unofficial firmware so use at your own risk coz if something goes wrong with flashing the firmware you'll end up with a dead player (god forbid!).

I've been mulling it over for quite some time if I should risk using it coz my pioneer dv-585K still has warranty till next year (extended 3 years), and doing this may invalidate it.
For those who have successfully used it, would be of great help if you can provide feedback.

Only the Pioneer 696-AVS can decode ogm files, but not so with .mkv
