Just saw today display unit of Sony 32V300A at Western Marketing, Pasay Road. Maganda sya compared sa previous 32 in. models and it was offered to me for P56,990.00 Cash with free HTIB and wireless headphones. Very tempting indeed.

It can accept 1080p, but native resolution is 1366 x 768... so, 1080p will be downscaled.  8)

Btw, in Western Megamall  they are also offering the Sony LCD 32V200A at P50,000.00 Cash, same freebies. Side by side ang display unit nila ng 32V300A and 32V200A. The chassis of 32V200A is bigger and looks more elegant in my opinion. Picture quality is almost the same. Tingin ko lang mas darker ang black level ng 32V200A . However, mas detailed ang picture sa dark areas ng 32V300A and more features. Nalilito tuloy ako which to choose.

I just checked Sony's local website.  How come the 32" V200 is priced at 84.9k?   ???

If the V300 is only 57k as advertised, then it really is tempting indeed!  But I have to be strong.  December 2007 pa ang target ko kasi!  ;D

the 84.9k is based on their old "promotional" pricing.. as stated in the post above you street pricing is a lot lower

siguro sa december yang 32V300 na yan baka nasa 45k nalang yan at tapos yung 26inches naman ay nasa 35k nalang. Hopefully sana nga.

yep, waiting for the 40" bravias to come down in price.

but if these 32"ers keep going down, i might buy the same one again!  ;D 8)  love em bravias e kahit nalugi na ko ng sobrang laki (!!  :( ) due to the price reduction.

regarding to sony LCD model 32v300a, lates po talaga un actually sa sony kahit 1MP lang cya kaya nya magplay back ng 1080p. compare to samsung S81 they are saying thats a digital already but the truth is hangang 720p lang ang kaya nila i-display pag ginamitan na ng bluray player and the connection is HDMI cord but in Sony V300 my feature cla na upgrading. madaling salita kahi 1MP ang panel resolution kaya pa nya magdisplayed ng 1080p, because from the processor they called "bravia engine".

According nga dun sa brochure nila, upcoming pa lang yung mga newer models which carry better features.  These are the D-series .  with 24P True Cinema the 24 progressive images are displayed as they should be, in the same sequence as the original film source.  Kumbaga 24 images per second according to the features discussed.

It also has the MOTIONFLOW 120HZ( high frame rate+Motion compensation) and the ACE (advance contrast enhancer).

Although wala pang price, sana mailabas na nila bago matapos ang sept 30 na promo cutoff nila.  kadalasan naman, bumababa ang presyo ng lower models kapag lumalabas ang bagong models.  kaya hintay pa ako ng konti.   ;D

is there a way na kapag nagconnect ka ng bluray player sa model ng sony na to, that you will be able to see if it is really displaying 1080p?

has anyone bought this model already?

thanks.

both U and V series can read 1080p... but downscales it to 720p....

U series doesn't have bravia engine tech.... while V does... that's why U series is less expensive than V series.. If an lcd tv has a spec of 2.0 megapxel (i think) then it can really view 1080p...  If u rily want a tv that can view 1080p then u might want to get an X series... based on what i read in other forums.. you will not notice 720p and 1080p if u don't have a 40"+ tv... pero i suggest u make your own reasearch as well... at the end of the day... you will be the one to decide. ;D
