Wow....battery powered gears are coming.....search the web and there are lots of new developments in this area.....high end gears but Pinoy made can equal that but light on the pocket.

nice one diy_master, you must have a class d amp there....

12 volts into 40 watts at 4ohms? most car amps can only manage 20watts into 8 ohms....

Is this dc amp ready for audition already? I've been using car audio power amps for my bedroom set-up and my current fave is a 44watts Hifonics model Cupid. Very sweet sounding amp but I'm willing to change if your amp trounce this hifonics.

Got a chance to get hold of this unit. What can I say, Anthony is an audio wizard. With its small size, the amp can put out a lot of power enouh to drive a floorstander. Had some officemates listen to it in our boardroom hooked to the 6 ohm US Audio floorstanders.Audio source was my Powerbook G4. All of them were wondering where the sound and power was coming from and they were all amazed when I pointed out to the palm sized amplifier. At home, I tested it with my kef 105/3 and it drove these monsters beautifully on its own. Nice bass I must add. However, near 3' o clock on the dial, the amp would experience some distortions and clipping. Kinda expected it as my speakers were 4 ohms with 6 drivers each. Paired it to a tono preamp and wow, this amp really rocks. Try it for yourself. Another excellent Filipino product with a lot of potential. Galing!. I wonder what anthony is brewing up next.

hi sir! this looks great not to mention such a budget saver!

just a newbie sir so i'd like to confirm if this would eliminate the need for a pre-amplifier?

with a setup of lets say a pioneer dv-600 and wharfedale 9.1 bookshelves...
you just need this mini wonder to power the speakers?

where could we possibly test/audition?

im browsing for my older sis. they were planning on getting an HTIB but discouraged them to do so coz i know a separate system would be way better, which i know would be slower to accomplish.
this may be the problem solver!

planning to use this for a temporary 2-channel setup...
then we can slowly work our way up to a 5.1 system without skimping on the speakers' budget coz amps are a bit of a snag budgetwise.

diy_master does the DIY speakers for sir nerveblocker right? A-audio?
saw the thread for that a month ago and didnt connect it with this thread until I saw the contact nos. on the first post.

great thing is my sis lives at lower bicutan, taguig.

kahit walang pre-amp ok lang, may control naman like base at treble and balance control. may bago ako 80watts RMS mas kaya i drive mga low sensitivity na speaker,pareho itsura power lang at haba ang naiba. 1,800 lang.
