Grabe match made i heaven ang ps3 and 42pv70. Just make sure you use a decent hdmi 1.3a cable.

The default Dynamic setting of the Pana 42PV70 is NOT RECOMMENDED for use!! Because this default setting has a very bad image quality; too bright, too contrasty and colors are very saturated! And it is not good to your plasma screen because of possible permanent burn-in!! Try the Cinema or Standard settings, just tweak the settings slightly to your taste. Example of "very very very long time" static display is when you use your plasma panel to display flight schedule such as in airports.

ooops! been using the default settings since i got the tv. will try the other settings. i noticed when i play nba 2k8 on my ps3 for an hour, the outline of the game's logo is slightly still imprinted on the screen. i called panasonic. they told me that it was normal. no need to panic daw. you just need to watch tv or a movie for 15-20 mins tapos mawawala na. i did that and nawala naman (so tuloy ako sa ps3 hehe!). is this the temporary image retention you mentioned in this forum? i just want to make sure coz i don't totally trust what panasonic told me (since kahit papaano biased na sila sa product nila). thanks!!!

Wohah!!! Naka default dynamic ka while playing game? Baka yung eyes mo ang unang ma burn-in bago yung Plasma mo, heheheh!!! Grabe ang bright at tingkad ng color pag default dynamic, so I can't imagine na tumatagal kang maglaro at that setting?!? Or baka you're wearing shades while playing, hehehe!!! Anyway, I doubt if you can play so long enough to cause permanent burn in sa plasma mo, unless you really play ONE GAME ONLY (hence same fixed image) for several days non-stop, hehehe!!! Yes you are right, what you see now are just temporary image retention which are harmless because they naturally disappear during normal use.

After having spent my hard-earned pesos on the Panny, I decided to err on the side on caution and strictly observe the break-
in procedure suggested by the other PDVDers. 10th generation plasma or not, there's nothing wrong with exercising a little patience and care with our new toy.

would you mind if i ask how you set your tv's picture setting? hehe! i dont know much about tvs. just bought one coz my ps3 looked really bad with my old tv. and yes, recently, i've been playing just one game. i play from 1-2 hours a day so i shouldn't have problems with burn ins right? anyway, thank you in advance. you've been really helpful!
