watched king kong fall from the empire state building during the sunset.

side by side with my old sony, the 42pv70 with the sky which should be blue is leaning to the green side,
while the sun rays which should be red, is leaning to the yellow. not much luck with the tint adjustment.

waiting for the 100th hour when i hope it will be remedied by the free calibration of S&S.

Thanks

Yes,we will come to solve your problem with the use of award winning Spyder colorimeter calibration.

To depend on the naked eye in adjusting the TV picture settings is a hit or miss affair. To get a right picture, we really need scientific picture calibration. This solution not only optimizes your viewing experience but also protect TV from burn-out due to over saturated brightness and contrast.

I observed this also in my 42pv70, na solved ko ito by using "Cinema" mode and setting the color temp to "Cool".  Kasi pag warm or standard, may tendency ngang mag yellow or green push ang plasma natin.

haven't tried watching in 4:3 format but have watched cable channels in 16:9 with black bars on top and below, no IR whatsoever even for more than 2 hours viewing.

i always want to watch local channel (GMA Kapuso) in 4:3 format because the people look so fat in JUST mode... but always worry on ir, i just switch from 4:3 to JUST simoustanously: program (4:3) commercial ads (JUST)...
and im tired doing it...

hi, I am planning to buy this unit but there's only one thing that bothers me. I've read from within this forum that
this model has a native resolution of only 1024x768 which by HD standard is a little below the define 720p standard
which is 1280x720. Yes I know this unit delivers very good picture quality but I hope someone can enlighten me on the
pros and cons of having a 1024x768 tv vs those that are defined as 720p and above. I really am leaning on buying this one
but ever since reading those articles, I having second doubt.

please help sir nemesis, sir e-reply. thanks

Personally, I wouldn't mind its resolution as compared to the performance of this baby.  Saw LCD models with a 1280x720 resolution but wouldn't match up with the picture quality of this model.  Plugged in a PC, upscaling DVD players up to 1080p via HDMI and regular DVD players with component video connections and all I can say is WOW! Specs wouldn't say much on how your flat screen will perform.

ako bro nasanay na sa widescreen so kahit cable channels 16:9 or just ko pinapanood   ;D

don't worry much about IR, have tried my plasma for 3 hours straight with those balck bars above and below (watching LOTR) I didnt find any IR whatsoever...or mahina na siguro mata ko   ;D

I did this while still on so called break-in period.  nasa 75 hours pa lang ako as of yesterday

wow! so it's true that the pv70 has no ir or burn in problem issues anymore... well thanks for the info i can now watch local tv channels in 4:3 mode (they will not look fat (or bansot) anymore) i want kasi the true dimension format of what source im watching eh. i dont want to see stretched people but i do love to watch 16:9 movies that fit the whole screen
