Hehe! looks like it will take some time for the price of the TH-42PV80 to come close to TH-42PV70 levels

Anyway, might as well go for the TH-42PV70 and enjoy it for the meantime. Besides if the newer model still uses the same resolution of 1024x768 pixels (or still 720p), then I suppose the quality is not that far from the previous model. New features though according to their website are the native 15,000:1 contrast ratio and the 24p playback

Based on certain reasons, i chose an lcd over this model just 6 months ago but if i have the luxury of buying another flat panel, this plasma will be next in line. Its like owning cars. I first chose to own car that runs w/ gasoline and yet will want to own another that runs w/ diesel. The PV70 is is a good choice since it really has good picture quality and of course the price is right. Go ahead buy it now and enjoy!

I will have the last unit of the 42pv70 by next week around 20-30pcs after this i believe the unit will be replace by this 2 models. Its a lot expensive as expected, reservation for the 42pv70 is going on at Trinoma (Jen) and Robinson Pioneer (Belen).

New models for 2008 June
Prices as follows:

when wathcing cable channels,pag sa channel 2, may black vertical line sa pinaka left side nya, parang hindi nya napupuno yung screen, about 5 other more channels ang ganito and approx 3/4 inch ang nao-occupy nya pero apg channel 7 fit sya sa buong screen.

ano kaya ito?

My 42pv70 works fine as well, even sa cable viewing...

hindi kaya sa setting lang? ilang channels lang naman, yung buong left side nya, from top to bottom approx 3/4 inch black, tapos parang may static. but other channels, perfect.

before, approx 5 to 7 channels lang ang affected, ngayon, 2 channels na lang ata sa entire line up ang walang problema.

helo sir suggestion lng. If you have a cable box, try to use it. Lipat mu muna yung cable mu and see if there will be changes. If its just the same perhaps yun cable provider mu may problema not the plasma itself. Kung maayos naman thru cable box perhaps the tuner of the plasma ang distorted.

The design resembles the sony lcd especially the base stand (dont know if it swivels). Its has 24p playback. 3 hdmi connectivity. Base on pictures i think it has a glossy black finish. Sd card slot. Auto search tuner. Same 1024x768 resolution as pv70.

bought a 50pv70 last mid april and checked the price of 42pv70, nasa 53-55k pa rin. never heard of 48k from our suking tindahan.
