). The regular free shipping will take 5-9 days. With the Amazon Prime, estimated delivery is Oct 16, but still, I need to wait until end-of-month before I get it.

Always check out on Amazon's price (not third party sellers) from time to time, if amazon lowers it's own price then you can ask for a refund.

Yesterday the HD-A30 was at 299 dollars, last night it was back to 328 dollars now its back to 292 dollars.

AHA! on the toshiba HD-A30 webpage it does not include this clause

"Free HD DVD Rebate offer:
Get 5 Free HD DVDs after Mail-in rebate when you buy a qualifying Toshiba HD-DVD player. See Details."

But when i checked the rebate form it says all toshiba HDDVD players (all models)

hmm, weird. Why did they not include that phrase in that model.

.... and errr, just checked it now... it's at 292.88 - Best Price from Electronics Expo, 3rd party seller. You can order now, or you can still wait for further price drop.

The 5-free HDDVD is a mail-in rebate courtesy of Toshiba, not by the (re)sellers or distributors.
