Love makes us fools.
When God is in love with us, he does irrational thing like sending his Son to save us.
We ask, "Why did God entrust his Son to our care? Why did Jesus accept the death on a cross when he could have prevented it? Why does the Spirit stay with us and present, even when we continue to offend God?"
We stand before his love: God become weak so that we might become strong. God sent us his Son to become what we are so that he might make us what he is.
A God who became poor for us in order to communicate his treasures to us. A God who bore our rejection in order to accept us in his realm.
Was God being foolish? Jesus Christ invites us to put our trust in God's foolish, perfect love.
Let us be "fools" for Christ--to follow Jesus' example of love, service, and self-sacrifice.
A Blessed Christmas to You All!
