pasig ako, meron ako D1 BS, malayo ang tunog ng D1 sa titus BS. as in! iba rin tunog ng D1 FS ni sir soundgarden sa D1 BS. Magkakaiba ng SQ. and iba rin ang tunog in terms of amplifier that you will use.

ok din suggeestion ni sir JJ loveMusic to have a party and compare different aaudio speakers. Lets talk to sir Anthony para nundun sya to further explain the comparison.

Sir, danish tweeter ba ang daniel?

ano prefer mo brader? di ko parin kasi naririnig yung D1 BS eh. :-\
brader shoktong, for me i heard the performance of D1 BS to different types of amplifier. Solid state, t-amp, hybrid, avr for HT and tube amp. D1 is a pure audio speaker.

Not sure about the tweeter sir. better ask sir anthony about the specs...

x2!

Sir Geriboy, pwedeng pwede. available ako ngayong week, hanggang thurs. combination of tube and Solid state lang set up ko.

sir mondi, nung nasa taguig pa lang si sir anthony at may bagong labas ang Yaqin mc-10t EL34 tubes ata yun. nagkaroon kami ng chance i-side by side yung Titus BS and Titus Fs. Were just using a Pioneer dvd player. Try to audition with sir anthony.

cheers,

When i bought the D1 BS, i've tried vintage amplifiers like Sony 140w/ ch and Pioneer 150w/ch. hindi ko nagustuhan tunog. Naghanap ako ng Tube amp from which i found from Sir tonyT. I tried his Dyi tube  preamp and tube Power amp. Tumaas ung mids and highs, talagang na-idrive and D1 BS to its potential. Kaso naiwan ung low freqency. We also tried t-amp diy by sir tonyT. Dun nagkaroon ng potential tapos mura pa at matipid sa kuryente. Kaso, i really like the sound of tube amps. For now, ang ginamit ko muna is Sakura av200t and with Diy tube pre-amp made by sir tonyT  (with a phono stage....uses 6201 tubes buffered by 12AU7, the line stage uses RCA 9AU7 cleartops) which somehow good for my ears. My project is hunting for an El34 or KT88 pushpull which IMO, can drive D1 BS to its potential.

Hey again folks, following my Genesis review
http://www.pinoydvd.com/index.php/topic,70456.msg1385041.html#msg1385041
I promised a review of

A-audio David

Photos by: Edwin Martinez

Room Size: 4x5 meters
Room Treatment: Semi-treated lang
Amplifier: Yamaha DSP-a1
Source: Sony Playstation  1
Interconnect: RAON wires

2 Way Bookshelf bass reflex speaker
Impedance: 8ohms
Power handling:150 RMS
Sensitivity: 88db
Freq. Res.: 25hz-30khz
Dimension: 13.5x11x12 inch (HxWxD)

The first thing that you notice when you look at A-audio’s David is its unique hexagonal shape.
This got me curious about the innards of the speaker as it weighs at a hefty 20 kilos.

More important than aesthetics, does it sound good?
After all, it is named after the great king of Israel, David who toppled Goliath, David who is attributed to 73 of 150 chapters of the book of Psalms, David who composed songs of praise & worship.

David is a tall name. Does the speaker live up to its name?

YES.

I had this speaker for 3 months now and I am very familiar with its sound, I love it!!

Voice
Nat King Cole “The Very Thought of You” – Nat Cole’s voice through the David was open and warm and actually sounded very “thoughtful”. I welcomed Nat’s fatherly voice in my listening area with delight.

Basia “Time & Tide” – Powerful, detailed, satisfyingly deep lows, Basia’s voice came out bursting without any harshness. I never heard Time & Tide as good as the David sang it.

Classical Music
"Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" & "Dance of the Reed Pipes" – I wrote in my Genesis review that it takes a really special kind of speaker to elevate classical music to a whole different level. David is that speaker.
The notes were presented sublimely, it sounded very flowy and smooth. I couldn’t criticize the sound because it was just sooo good.

R&B
Craig David's "Rendezvous" & "7 Days" was great as usual, I personally really love the production of his tunes. Craig’s songs was even better through the David. It sounded fluid and natural. And yes, I did sing along.

Dance & Pop
Black Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow" – Now this is what I’m talking about, bass like you just don’t care.
The David packs a huge punch!!!  Every Boom Boom Boom was powerful but handled like a pro as the voices of the Black Eyed Peas and electro sounds were still distinct and dynamic and not drowned by the powerful bass.

Lady Gaga “Just Dance” – Fun and dynamic, the energy of Lady Gaga was preserved by the David while keeping it from becoming overzealous.

Rock
Beatles “Come Together” – Wonderful!! Every drum distinct, every note skillfully played.  When I had a few friends over, this track made them come together and actively listen to the David.

Movies & Games
David is being marketed as an audio speaker and rightly so. Movies and games for me just didn’t have the impact it should. Maybe this is because of the warmth of David which doesn’t really hand itself well for movies & games.

Conclusion
The speaker is named after King David and I fully and wholeheartedly agree.
Music produced by this speaker just sounds so kingly. Every song I played was perfect for my ears.
I can describe the sound of this speaker as incredibly warm but not “ngo ngo” it has detail but it is not bright. The lows are smooth and satisfying.

At 10k this speaker is truly the David that can match 50k Goliaths

For music, David is my favorite among all of A-audio’s lineup.

is this correct, this bookshelf goes down to 25hz and weighs 20 kilos or 44 pounds?

Finally got the David xover with aaudio high end wires and Danish Tweeter and install it in my old Proac 2.5 clone and the result. It's much more better now compare to Proac 2.5 clone. It's the David Floorstander. Thank you Master A. It's a perfect match with my Moded Denon DRA-685 and The Daniel FS match my Moded Yamaha ax-900.
