Just got hold of sir andrew's 6.5 tablette bs speakers with vifa tweets.  Supposed to get them wednesday next week (payday), but back reading here made me re-align my budget.  Pag gusto talaga, maraming paraan hehe.  Product was delivered to qc from paranaque.  Replaced my old pioneer speakers, paired to a dayton t-amp and a sony dvd player as source using generic interconnects and speaker wires.  I immediately played familiar songs.  I'm a newbie to this hobby, but instantly noticeable was the clarity of midrange and extention of highs.  Both male and female vocals were airy.  I used to be analytical with transparency and tonal accuracy, but this time, I sort of captured the emotion of the singers.  As if they were directly communicating their message to me.  I think this is the point of this hobby.  Doesn't really matter how expensive or cheap your pieces of equipment are, as long as you enjoy your music and you're happy.  I'm happy!  On thing though - bass was a bit boomy, probably due to my room size and close proximity of the speakers to the wall.  Sir Andrew recommended at least an 18 in. distance from the wall.  Will try to experiment on speaker placement next week, when I get back from the province.  Major breaking in needed as well.  Thanks!

@diymaster / nerveblocker,

My 12" A-AUDIO Subwoofer is making a crackling sound.  I suspected that its a capacitor problem.  Here's what I found:

San po kaya pwede iparepair 'to tsaka how much?  Ever Gotesco Ortigas Extension, Pasig area. Iniisip ko dalhin na lang sa LOVE Electronics malapit dito.

how old is it? parang higit isang dekada na a? korek, tawagan mo na lang si Anthony.  ;)

I got this second hand from doc 2 years ago.  Sige, kontakin ko na lang.  Medyo malayo kasi shop nila, wala ako sasakyan.

Pwedeng meet-up na lang kayo. Taga saan ka? Ok ang aftersales nyan si Anthony.

Nice Brader! Congrats & enjoy your sub again ;)

Last Friday, anticipation filled my home as we agreed to schedule delivery that day.  I have heard his creations twice as I visited his home in Taguig and was impressed... no... very impressed.  Although just like any other purchases we make, there is still fear that they will not perform as expected.

I had to borrow my sister's Yamaha amplifier to listen to them.  I currently have yet to purchase a receiver and contemplating between an Onkyo 608, 808, Denon 1911, or 2311.  Hooking it up was easy and was made even easier and more practical since Anthony included the wires and banana plugs with the package I got.  ;D (A nice personal touch indeed!).  I just got married early this year and to say the least, installing a home theater is not that high in the priority list.  With the package I got, I was able to squeeze it to the budget yet still not compromising on getting the best Anthony can offer after the assessment of my needs, size of room, musical and film preference.

Although I got a multi-channel receiver, I opted to listen stereo.  I hooked Speaker A connection with the tri-tower and Speaker B with the 1sc.  The source was a lowly Ipod and played some familiar songs.  All my fears and apprehensions suddenly disappeared as the speakers slowly opened up.  They sound amazing.  No technical terms, no flashy words, no "audiophile english", they are just amazing!  My wife does not want anything loud but when I cranked up the volume, I saw her smile.  To Anthony, take that as a huge compliment. The higher you crank the volume the better they sound.  Although the volume was high, we fell asleep and felt that Corrine May sung soulful and sensuous lullaby.  Oh, I forgot to mention, it was the bookshelf we were listening to.  I was so happy, I decided test the tri-tower more extensively some other time.

The price was not cheap for me but was it worth it, heck yeah! Would I recommend his creations? definitely and already did.  Will I push people to buy them?  No, but I will plea to them to give them first a try before before making a decision because I am very confident that at the price point, it is hard to look for formidable competition.  When even non-audiophile such as I am can easily discern that the sound quality is comparable to none I have listened (Disclaimer, I am still referring to entry level and mid-level offerings), then you know that what you have is something good. Let me rephrase, you are certain that what you have is something great.

We are blessed that there are products like these that are offered where quality was prioritized over profit.  Thank you Anthony!  I am happy and that is what matters.   Some people may ask why I purchased them first when I could have bought the receiver initially but I wanted to build my system with his creations as the focal point.  I want them to be the foundations and build up from there.  In closing, if there is something bad to say to these speakers is that they have really stretched the boundaries of entry level speakers.  They have stretched it far enough that for us to find sound quality better than the standards it has set, may cost us a leg and limb. But starting to think about it, it may have to take some time before my newest purchases will be replaced.  Thanks and God bless to all your endeavors Sir Anthony.

If your are keen on getting them, you may want to contact Antony fast.  There are a few peerless woofers left.

Sir, if you don't mind, what kind of vifa tweeters and woofer/midrange used in the 6.5 bookshelf speakers? Thanks.
