Britain's Got Talent - Paul Potts
« on: Sep 13, 2007 at 09:41 PM »
He walked in the stage and faced the three judges, Simon Cowell being one of them.  They asked him one question: "What are you going to do for us?  Paul Potts, a 36 year old cellphone salesman from South Wales, a pudgy, unattractive, lacking in self confidence man said "To Sing Opera".  Great, another William Hung wannabe, the judges' faces seem to be saying, until he opened his mouth.

The judges and the audience became silent altogether and heard one of the most moving voice ever to come from an untrained amateur.

I was sent an email with a youtube link and it sat there on my outlook for days as I treated it again as some sort of spam.  One sleepless night, I clicked it and I am amazed.

Don't dismiss this oppurtunity.

Watch the videos - it will move you to tears.

First time to face the judges - Must see!

At the semi-finals

At the Finals

Paul Potts with Luciano Pavarotti Virtual Duet

Excerpt from Öne Chance" album - Music Of The Night

this is the one that my boss was telling me about.
the first link was absolutely priceless - when the judges asked what paul potts will do, and he said opera - you can just see the resignation on the faces of th judges. but when he started to sing - god! stunning voice!

i love the rendition he did on Music of the Night :)

Galing!!! He's got talent indeed. Thanks for sharing the news voj.

Just wondering if his facial expressions (can't see any confidence, even while singing) caused the judges' reaction, initially. But he really has a powerful voice.

Can't help but, he's somehow a look-a-like of "Edgar Stiles" of 24  ;)

Paul Potts - Britain Got Talents <-- also a link

"Edgar Stiles" - 24  <--also a link

Cheers!!!
